  • "The bedroom during the first night was cold."

It was our fault for not reading the welcome pack! You could override the central heating by pressing the boiler button in the boiler room. The kitchen is well equipped. Overall it is a very comfortable cottage in quiet and beautiful surroundings. Mark was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this cottage for anyone looking for relaxation.

  • "Lovely comfortable cottage."

Secure garden, parking very close to cottage and excellent location. Great places to eat nearby, Boar's Head - dog friendly, friendly, professional staff and interesting and varied menu, just one of many. Visited Stone, Market Drayton and Nantwich. Lovely walk along canal at Nantwich and excellent cake and coffee at Waterside Cafe, Nantwich Marina. Would advise anyone looking at cottage to book immediately.

  • "This is a lovely little property in the Cheshire countryside."

We had 5 great nights there with our two little dogs. The house is beautiful warm, clean and tidy. Lovely comfy bed, cosy.lounge. Owners in attached property, but very unobtrusive. We spent hours watching the birds and squirrels on the lawn outside. Would definitely visit again. Little tip the stone floors are gorgeous, but cool! Take slippers!

The setting is idyllic. The owners very kind and considerate. I would recommend this holiday let to anyone interested in visiting the Peaks in Derbyshire, North Wales and/or the Shropshire Hills as all these amazing places are only a short drive away. The local towns of Nantwich and Whichurch also provide large major supermarkets and characterful town centers. Overall, Gardeners Cottage is a well placed in terms of countryside and amenities as well as being a lovely place to stay.

  • "Wow, what can i say!"

Exceptional doesn't begin to say enough about this beautiful cottage and surroundings. My husband and i went for 4 nights with our 2 excited Huskies, and were immediately welcomed by the hosts. The pictures do not do this cottage justice as it has been updated. The minute we walked in we felt at home. The wonderful finer details to the cottage were stunning and i couldn't hide my amazement to the wonderful, friendly hosts. It literally has everything you could ask for. From 2 enormous sofas, the extremely comfortable kingsize bed, the wonderful shower with the largest showerhead i have ever seen! It even has a small utility/ doggy room with extra sink, toilet, husky fridge and separate large freezer. The outside seating area has a wonderful view of the manicured gardens and beyond with a bbq and wood burner for us to use. The lovely walks surrounding the property exhausted our 2 huskies and my husband! There were 3 pubs within 5 minutes drive. I can personally recommend "the boars head" which had a wonderful outside seating area. If you are contemplating this cottage. Please dont hesitate, you will not be disappointed. Quite frankly, i think this property is undervalued. Thanks again Mark, Mark and Kieran who were the best hosts imaginable. We are already planning to go again soon.

  • "This was a lovely base for exploring Cheshire and Shropshire."

I don't know why this is listed as 'North Wales' - it's not in Wales at all. You can drive there from here, but it's quite a distance. It's much more suited bimbling around the area and going up to Chester for a day. The cottage is attached to the owners' house but feels separate. The garden is a joy, with places to sit out in summer, ducks and chickens to talk to and plenty of space to play 'fetch' with the owners' dogs. In the summer the plants outside the windows are alive with bees and butterflies and the trees are busy with birds and the occasional squirrel. The owners are very friendly and kind, and gave helpful suggestions for day trips and finding local amenities. The only thing I could find fault with was the limited storage space for dry goods in the kitchen, mainly because the cupboards are filled with practically every implement you could need.

  • "We had a wonderful time across the Easter Weekend at this beautiful cottage."

The weather was lovely which was a bonus as we could enjoy our meals out on the patio. The cottage is just as the photos show, very quaint and pretty. The owners put fresh milk in the fridge for us which was a nice touch and said we could help ourselves to eggs from the chicken pen. We really felt like we were out in the country which is what we were looking for. Couldn't hear any traffic, the only noise came from the cockerels and we sometimes heard the horse neighing in the field behind the cottage. Bliss! The owners are such lovely people and made us feel very welcome. We had a very relaxing time. Nantwich and Audlem are both a short drive away and worth a visit as is Bridgemere Garden Centre. We would not hesitate to recommend this place and will definitely go back. Thanks guys for a lovely stay and warm hospitality! Mark & Sue xx
