More crockery and microwave cookware required. Our biggest problem was lack of ventilation in bedroom, No opening window, We did not put heating on upstairs, but Were still far to hot .

  • "This is a small simple cottage in an astonishing location."

The cottage is located in a farm in a quiet and beautiful village. The cottage is spacious and well designed. The main criticism is the lack of small details.. There was only one pan and the antiadherent was completely worn out, exposing the metal underneath. I must say the landlord replaced it immediately (although I was given a very large pan that did not fit well in the cooker). The oven had a protective cloth that was coming off as well. I stayed for two weeks and I was left with one bag for each bin (organic and general waste) without replacement. There was no gel nor shampoo in the bathroom. The place was nice but lack of this small details which could have made my stay even better. 6/10.

  • "An amazing cottage which has been renovated to a high standard."

Really helpful hosts who reacted immediately to a small problem. The situation was close enough to main roads to allow access to many places of interest yet quiet enough to hear the birds singing.

  • "The drawerback with the dairy is the lack of views from the windows."

This is tollerable for a stay of a few days, but would be tiresome for a longer stay. In that respect I'd be unlikely to recommend it. I appreciate that this will probably be owing to building regulations and don't believe it reflects on the owners or managers. In other respects I found the property pretty good,, comfortable and certainly clean.

  • "Lovely quiet and peaceful location, ideal for getting around Cheshire."

We used the cottage for visiting family in the area. Cottage is perfect for a short stay, very clean and comfortable. Frosted windows with no outlook took a bit of getting used to but understand the need for privacy. TV is a little small and anyone tall needs to watch out for "low flying beams"!! Would definitely stay again though as good value for money.

The property was in a good area with Chester zoo only a 20 min drive and the Cheshire oaks designer outlet near by . We also visited other areas close by . The property was very clean and the bed comfortable . Would recommend.

  • "We had a lovely stay, and the cottage itself cannot be faulted."

It is equipped with everything you might need, beautifully furnished, and with parking right next to the cottage. It is in a quiet, restful location, and well located to visit North Wales beaches and Snowdonia (each about 1 hour away), and Chester (about 20 minutes away). The Dairy is not in Tarporley, but is instead in a neighbouring village called Eaton, and our only minor criticism is of Eaton itself. Although the village is not tiny, there are no shops or pubs whatsoever, and, very strangely, no pavements, so even an evening stroll is problematic. You are therefore very dependent on a car to access the facilities in Tarporley, about 3 miles away. Overall though, The Dairy is a lovely place for a short break or a longer holiday. Thank you!

The only downside was that all the windows were frosted so we couldn’t see outside except through the window in the front door. No communication made with the owners who lived opposite - bit disappointed.

Very serene and beautiful surroundings. The cottage itself is fully equipped with everything you could need. We cooked some lovely meals here and watched TV on the cosy sofa. The main town of tarporley is a 5 minute drive away with a spar and coop for your essentials. There are also some lovely pubs and cafes which we made the most of in the area too. I have only returned today but we are already looking at booking again and I have recommended this place to my family!
