  • "Lovely little cottage."

    Very clean and comfortable.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful property but as reported to the owner it may be advisible to point out that people who are not so mobile like ourselves might struggle with the stairs in the house and the garden."

We would also suggest a non slip mat in the shower would be handy.

Many thanks for your feedback. We will be in contact with Sykes to publish photos of the garden for reference and take on board your points. Property Owner

  • "Great little place in a great location."

Convenient parking, nearby shops and local walks as well as being a base for driving (or train) to places like Edale, Buxton etc. The cottage was clean, well presented and well cared for by the owner who was helpful and easy to contact. Good value and would happily book again

Thank you for your lovely comments and we’d love to have you stay with us again. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, modern, very clean and well presented."

Slow cooker a nice touch although we didn't use it. Well situated for prime attractions in the peak district. Took a while to get used to the heating but worked ok once sussed. Would benefit from a full length mirror in the main bedroom, otherwise top notch. Well done.

Many thanks for the feedback. Full length mirror now installed in main bedroom. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Bluebell cottage is a small/compact terraced house for 4 people."

It was ideal for my wife and myself. Downstairs the kitchen and lounge is only just big enough to accommodate 4 people. The 2 two seater settees are quite small and are somewhat uncomfortable. Upstairs the main bedroom and shower room are in very good order apart from a very uneven bed base which we reported on arrival and it was repaired within 12 hours which we were pleased with and it was a very comfortable bed, the bedroom would benefit with some blackout curtains. The other bedroom has bunk beds and is very small and maybe suitable for 2 children, but not a further 2 adults, with no wardrobe or any storage space, apart from 2 very small bedside cabinets. There seems to be a lack of attention to detail because there was only one tea towel on arrival, no salt, tin foil or kitchen roll. Location was perfect with all local amenities a short walk away.

  • "I’m almost loathe to post this!"

! My wife and I loved this little cottage - it had everything in it we love to have in a holiday rental, including not one, but two smart TV’s which, when you are on holiday in the depths of winter as we did in December, they come in handy for the long nights. If you are pensioners, like us, and have a bus pass, the small bus station is only a 15 minute walk away, where you can catch a bus to many different places in the area. Despite there being no dedicated private parking, we never had a problem getting a spot on the road right outside the cottage, a road which is not that busy and quiet at night. One day we hope to return!

Many thanks for your comments. Glad we managed to exceed your expectations and hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

  • "The property was very clean and we found it warm and cosy."

The chairs and bed ware very comfortable. Although we didn't use them the table and chairs in the back garden would have been nice in the warm weather. Th shower was easy to operate. There are lots of interesting places within easy reach of the property. The only thing we think would have improved it would have been a low table for us to put books, papers etc on in the evenings.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. A table is something I have been looking into and there will be one available going forwards. As you say, being able to have somewhere for your coffee, a book or whilst playing one of the games would be useful. Property Owner

  • "Great cottage, modern and well finished."

It was nice and clean. Great to be able to park outside. Really could do with a mirror in the main bedroom, no where to blow dry your hair.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the repeat booking later this year. We look forward to your arrival. Property Owner
