  • "In addition to being very comfortable and convenient, this property has an excellent view at the back."

The main picture is of the patio doors. We would definitely come back.

  • "A lovely barn conversion."

obviously originally for personal use. Good setting and close enough for local shops etc. Fully equipped a lot of which we did not use. Comfortable lounge and bed. (Slept well). We needed to have some better help in the shower. Both well into our 80's with some mobility and balance issues a grab rail and longer shower mat would have been beneficial. Never the less we would highly recommend the barn to anyone. Certainly the best one we have ever rented. Thank you Terry & Jan

  • "This was our second visit, it is peaceful comfortable and within easy reach of Supermarkets."

On arrival Terrry did the meet and greet, he had put milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine plus my favourite Border biscuits. If you have any issues Terry or Jan are usually on hand. They have a rainfall shower which is great. All in All I would recommend Frog Meadow Barn be it for just a bit of peaceful comfortable change of scenery or if you like exploring there are plenty places to visit, they also have many leaflets on nearby attractions. Oh and while I remember a DVD collection that is possibly in to the hundreds, so something for everyone.

  • "We had a lovely time at the Frog Meadow Barn."

We stayed for four weeks so we had lots of time to experience the property throughout. The cottage is very well situated at the end of the cul-de-sac with a big clean private drive. Very quiet and peaceful property. The owners live right next door but we didn't really see them very much and felt very private. But when we had an issue the owner was on hand and we got it solved very quickly. The property is rather spacious and very well equipped for a long stay or even having some people over. The kitchen has everything you need or could wish for. Coffee, tea and spices are provided. Maybe the kitchen worktops could do with a bit better lighing though. We even got some wine and snacks provided. Very thoughtful. Thank you!! The beds are really comportable, the double bedroom very spacious and the wardrobe was even big enough for a month long stay. Very thoughtful decoration themes going on and lighting throughout the barn made us feel very cosy and comfortable. I terms of entertainment there is a big smart TV with anything under the sun to watch. Also tones of DVD's, books and magazines to indulge in. Infortunately due to cold weather we didn't enjoy the garden. But the view of the country side and padocks from the living room was definitely one of many blessings that made this stay a memorable one. The owners didn't spare a penny to make us feel welcome and comfortable. All in all it's a five star property, situated in a beautiful setting and owned by a very hospitable couple. Anyone looking for a treat should definitely consider it!!!

  • "Under kitchen unit lighting will help as a bit dark."

Smoke alarms mounted on ceilings should be installed. Guests would feel safer. Sharp sand on patio decking may help as algae was very slippy which meant we couldn't go outside easily. This said we still had a very enjoyable stay so no regrets. Thanks.

The gardens & views from the patio window in the lounge were beautiful. It was very relaxing & change of scene after this terrible year of lockdown. We were able to meet up with our grandson & his fiancé which we hadn't seen since Christmas. My husband & I were able to visit Chatsworth House which is worth a visit. The cottage is attached to the owners property we didn't find it affected our stay with regards to privacy. We loved the visits from the owners friendly 2 dogs & cat.

  • "Frog Meadow Barn was absolutely perfect!"

The owners were incredible - going above and beyond when we needed assistance with alarms going off during our stay. They had all the amenities we could have possibly wanted. Both spacious and cosy, as we spent a fair few days inside rather than exploring (due to a rather rainy week in October) Perfectly located if you wish to explore into the Peak Distrcit and the many Cave systems in the area. Wonderful walks nearby - would highly recommend the Knypersley Reservoir. There is a supermarket just minutes up the road, as well as the high street if you wish to shop. Overall, it was an incredible break for us, and would definitely go back again when we are able!

Still, the garden shared, the landlord lives in the next door with share garden and last day was a beautiful sunny day we wanted enjoying our breakfast in the garden, but landlord with one man was there to cut grasses it was disappointed.

Thank you for providing feedback on your stay, we're happy to hear you enjoyed your holiday. We do advise that our home is attached in the description. Unfortunately, there is only certain times when the gardener can arrive to maintain the garden, we have updated the description accordingly. Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was really nice, spacious, modern and did have everything you needed."

The garden was beautiful and having the horses in the field was an added bonus for us. The view was amazing. However, the owners property is attached and the garden is not sectioned off so they share it with you, which does give you less privacy. Also, they have 2 dogs and a cat so if you are wary of dogs I wouldn't recommend staying here. We did have company at the table when we were eating outside which wasn't ideal. Also we found the cat in the house a couple of times and had to shoo it out. If you have allergies, not for you. The location of the property is ideal and the owners gave us great recommendations for places to eat nearby.

Thank you for staying at Frog Meadow Barn and providing feedback on your stay. We're so happy to hear you enjoyed the house and the area. We have taken on board your comments regarding the garden and have now screened off the section between us and guests for privacy. Property Owner

The property was in a lovely location. It is near to all amenities and wonderful sightseeing locations. The house itself was wonderfully maintained. The hosts Jan and Terry were so inviting and helpful. Jan has done a lot of detailed thinking on house decoration, her attention to detail was immaculate. The view from the house opening to back garden and mountain is breathtaking. The hosts have thought about smallest detail, like how to guides with diagrams for using TV, a good collection of DVD's, nice collection of cookies, sightseeing pamphlets and local restaurants suggestions with menus. Our car broke down and they also have helped us with finding a local mechanic and made us feel incredibly welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and strongly recommend the property.I will most probably return back just to enjoy the quiet and calm along with the host#s's hospitality. This visit was fully satisfying and give 5 stars. ***** Loving regards, Gowri :)
