The property

A wonderful ground floor, two bedroom apartment located in the village of Chisworth, a contemporary holiday home converted from a former mill.

Suited for couples or a small family, you and your loved ones can spend some quality time together in the heart-warming layout which makes a fantastic base to return to during your stay.

As you arrive, the open-plan lounge area welcomes you inside boasting comfortable seating, a table for four people, and a modern kitchen which lies to the back of the room.

After the sun sets you will look forward to preparing those home-cooked meals before settling down in front of the TV to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Two bedrooms lie close by, each promise a relaxing atmosphere, laced with neutral décor and a calming overtone that sets the scene for a cosy night's sleep.

The first room boasts a king-size bed, whilst the second is ideal for families, with a double and single bed.

In your downtime, why not take a moment to appreciate the lovely location by resting on the bench outside?

After exploring the charm that hides within the hamlet of Chisworth and the neighbouring villages of Charlesworth and Broadbottom, head towards Glossop, an excellent base for touring some of the area's classic walking country including Black Hill, Bleaklow, Kinder Scout and the Longdendale Valley.

Also on the doorstep is the village of Marple Bridge which has a good selection of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants to suit every taste.

The village also has direct rail links to Manchester and the Hope Valley line through to Edale, Hope and Hathersage.

The Macclesfield and the Peak Forest Canals both pass through the village and offer a wide selection of walks that will appeal to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

A little further afield, the apartment is ideally situated to enjoy the Peak District's main attractions with Hayfield and Lyme Park just a few miles away and Castleton, Buxton and the Hope Valley all within an easy 35 minute drive.

Guests can also easily enjoy all that the city of Manchester has to offer, There is a regular train service to Manchester that takes 25 minutes from Broadbottom station which is a5 minute drive away from the apartment with ample free parking.

Here you will find a huge selection of high street and boutique shops, theatres, restaurants, Manchester United and City football stadiums and number of top visitor attractions such as the Museum of Science and Industry and the Lowry Centre.

From countryside to stone cottages, to the big city this is a wonderful base to explore everything the area has to offer.

Glossop 3.3 miles.

Chisworth is a hamlet near Glossop, Derbyshire, England. It is located 3 miles south-west of Glossop's town centre, on the south side of the Etherow valley. The parish of Chisworth was formed in 1896, and is home to a Methodist chapel. Close by is the market town of Glossop, nestling at the foot of the famous Snake Pass, it's an excellent base for exploring some of the area's classic walking country, including Black Hill, Bleaklow, Kinder Scout and the Longdendale Valley. There is also plenty to interest visitors in picturesque Old Glossop, dating back to the 12th century, with stone cottages, and Manor Park, originally the grounds of the manor house of the Duke of Norfolk, a popular spot for picnics, safe play and special events.
Hayfield, setting for the BBC drama ‘The Village’ is just a short drive away and gives visitors direct access to variety of spectacular walking country including Kinder Scout, Lantern Pike and the Vale of Edale. The imposing mansion of Lyme Hall and Park is less than 10 miles away which visitors may recognise as ‘Pemberley’ from the TV adaption of Pride and Prejudice. Also close by is the spa town of Buxton and the famous show caves at Castleton where walkers can also easily access Mam Tor.
