  • "Situation of the cottage was marvelous."

Walks with the dog directly from the house. Everything we needed was there. Very well equipped. The beds were very good and for te protection of the matrass no plastics were used. We appreciated the direct contact with the owner Claire.

Beautifully decorated and furnished, comfort and cleanliness are second to none. The owners are fabulous and will stop at nothing to ensure each stay is perfect. We will definitely return again and are grateful for Claire and Paul’s hospitality.

  • "The hosts kindly accommodated us at the last minute after our family holiday to wales was cancelled the day we got over there."

The house is only down the road from where we live - as we figured if the rules changed again we could get home easily but at least it would be a change of scene for our disappointed children. We arrived to an amazing welcome basket and a lovely handwritten card which almost made us want to cry it was so kind. The house greets you with it’s beautiful decor and you are compelled to take a tour and pinch colour and design ideas to use back in your own home! From the back windows you feel surrounded by beautiful creation which certainly helped to quickly put our troubles back into perspective and relax. The log fire was a treat for everyone to sit by on that big comfy sofa in the evenings. You could just leave the tv off and watch it all night! Our kids also enjoyed the roll top bath experience too, especially after climbing a few of the local hills. It’s a special place and we are happy we discovered it. Thank you again to the hosts for making it special and thank you to Sykes for refunding our cancelled trip so promptly.

  • "We had a really lovely week at."

Northview cottage. The cottage is cosy, tastefully decorated and very well equipped for a holiday let. The kitchen had an extensive range of equipment including good quality utensils, a good size fridge with freezer and a large cooker. The view from the back door was just beautiful with cows grazing in the meadow and the trees on the hill a glorious blaze of colour. The bedrooms were small but comfortable and we used the large travel cot which was excellent. The bathroom is spacious with a large shower and a good range of products left for our use. The welcome pack was one of the best we have seen and typifies the pride and care that Claire takes in the property. The cottage has a parking space which is not the easiest to negotiate but we got the hang of it by the end of the week! A big attraction for us was the easy access to walking in the hills. The Gritstone trail runs next to the cottage and there are many good walking areas within a short drive. We would be very happy to spend another week at Northview. A great place to stay.

  • "We just didn’t expect such fantastic views from the back of the property."

Clare the owner was very helpful with any issues we had. I’d highly recommend the cottage, it had everything there you needed. The downside for us was the weather but it didn’t prevent us from doing spectacular walks from the doorstep. My only issue I’d have is I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking elderly relatives as I found the stairs might be a little steep but that’s to be expected in cottages. Otherwise it was perfect.

  • "Not one to usually leave feedback but in this instance the cottage truly deserves it , the owners have put a lot of effort into making the cottage as welcoming as possible ."

The cottage is beautifully furnished and the photos do not do it justice .Everywhere was clean , smelt fresh and was spacious . The added bonus being reliable WIFI , Netflix and internet access for the wet windy evenings . For the nice evenings and weather great walks nearby , lovely views from the cottage and perfectly located for the peaks . Well done to the owners for keeping a quaint cottage but having 21st Century conveniences .
