“The shepherd’s hut was lovely, very well done & the hot tub & views were wonderful.”

However the contact with the owner prior to arrival was not particularly friendly. I rang to check on key collection arrangements as requested & rather than simply explain I was told that an email would be sent on the morning of travel. However the contact with the owner prior to arrival was not particularly friendly. I rang to check on key collection arrangements as requested & rather than simply explain I was told that an email would be sent on the morning of travel. It did but it gave me some anxiety as I knew that I was working on the day of arrival & might potentially have been late & did not want to inconvenience the owner. On arrival fire was lit & a welcome pack was ready, lovely but didn’t realise that the hot water was off so shower ran cold. WiFi code not provided & owner clearly away do didn’t feel we could ring. Bed was comfortable enough but on stripping the bed on the last morning the mattress topper was dirty & old, pillows similar & duvet & mattress could do with replacing. Took a while to realise that towels were in a small cupboard under the sink. Also seat covers have mould damage that the owner may not realise. Lovely stay, lovely place but the off putting attitude of the owner was not helpful. Their cat on site however was charming & should be promoted.

The property

Positioned in the most idyllic countryside setting, promising a romantic retreat for two, this pretty accommodation is just what you need for that well-deserved rest.

The peaceful outdoor surroundings personify the cool and tranquil nature of the interior space, by the light, neutral colour palette creating an uplifting mood.
