The property

Squirrel Barn is a picturesque and high specification brick and timber barn conversion.

It is very well equipped, ideal for party groups, families, children and pets and is full of amenities, comfort and technology.

The property is well over 200 years old and is set far back from the lane, near the centre of the beautiful old Staffordshire village of Milwich and is surrounded by countryside.

Squirrel Barn is bordered by fields and a brook.

The property has a wonderful mix of modern and ancient and retains many features of the original building such as beams and exposed brick.

Squirrel Barn is an ideal base for groups of friends or families with children and pets wishing for an informal and friendly, very relaxing and exceptionally well-appointed cottage from which to explore the many attractions and amenities the area has to offer.

Alternatively, many groups simply stay in Squirrel Barn and enjoy the extensive facilities available in the cottage and gardens.

The gardens in particular have an extensive array of games for both children and adults and are private and secure for both pets and children to play.

All bedrooms are very well equipped, with all beds, including the bunk beds, adult size with deep sprung mattresses.

All bedrooms have HD TVs with Amazon Firesticks, digital channels and DVD drives, as well as individual Bluetooth speakers, digital radio and USB charging points.

The main bedroom is large, with a half poster double bed, armchair, vaulted beamed ceiling and with a spacious en-suite shower room and a stable door leading down to the gardens.

There is a beautiful spacious designer family bathroom with a bath, basin and WC, large separate shower and exposed beams.

There is also a quiet book-lined reading area off the landing, this can also used as a temporary double bedroom if party guests unexpectedly decide to stay overnight.

The kitchen/diner is large with exposed beams, full length windows and access to the garden and patios.

There is seating for up to 14 guests, a book reading inglenook and plenty of window seating making it the perfect place for large social gatherings and there is also a 50" TV with cinema surround sound so that you can all watch your favourite films together.

The kitchen is extensively equipped for the largest banquet.

The kitchen also has HD TV, radio, Bluetooth speakers, an Amazon Firestick and a DVD drive.

The sitting room features exposed brick and beams, and also has full length windows and access to the gardens, patios and hot tub.

The sitting room has a large HD TV with Amazon Firestick, digital channels and a Blu-ray/DVD drive, and a Bluetooth sound system.

Outside there is an enclosed private lawn with terraced decked areas and with a large built-in Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub seating 8 people, and a table and chairs with parasol for 8 people.

There is also a smaller enclosed lawn/children’s play area with Wendy House, large paddling pool with canopy and hot shower, swings and slides, many toys, a trampoline, large sandpit, and a secluded decked area with table and chairs for two and a parasol.

There is a fire pit with tripod and cauldron for very sociable evenings and this can also be used as a social BBQ.

There is also a large, traditional built-in brick BBQ.

The extensive three level decking contains the hot tub, table and chairs, outside lights and parasols.

The entire grounds of the property are fenced and walled, providing a great deal of security for children and pets, and there is secure parking for 10 cars within the grounds of the property.

There is a renowned village gastropub within a couple of minutes’ walk, with extensive beer gardens and ideal for family groups.

There are many other gastropubs and restaurants to suit all tastes locally.

There are exceptionally good walks and cycling routes based around Squirrel Barn with clearly demarcated paths, styles and maps.

There are also a lot of activities available a short drive away.

Alton Towers is close by and there are also many wildlife centres, rural zoos, historic houses and gardens, and many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Cannock Chase is close and is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and is a National Park.

This vast wooded area has renowned cycle trails, exceptional walks and is ideal for families and dogs.

There are also many shopping centres within easy access to Squirrel Barn, with sport and leisure facilities, night clubs and very many restaurants, takeaways and pubs.

Motorway, rail and coach connections are all within 30 minutes of Squirrel Barn.

Squirrel Barn is designed to be a very friendly and very well specified base for party groups, families, friends, children and pets.

Squirrel Barn has extensive entertainment facilities but is also very close to a vast array of attractions, things to do, beautiful countryside, restaurants, shops and places to visit.
