  • "Exceptional Holiday Cottage - enjoyed everything about it."

A real joy to stay there and everything so clean and up-to-date. Perfect position and near to two local pubs - The Bull's Head is magical!! Cottage very warm and cosy and particularly welcoming when we first arrived, with lamps and heating on. Bedroom blinds can be turned in 2 ways - so the room can be dark or brighter, if required. Have booked again for another stay later in the year - looking forward to it!!

Thank you so much for your amazing feedback. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay so much. We know what you mean about the Bulls Head, difficult to ignore. We look forward to welcoming you again later in the year. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely fabulous!"

A little difficult to find the turning in the dark but what a spectacle when we did. Beautifully lit up with Christmas lights. Getting into the cottage was exactly as communicated. Lights were on and it was nice and warm. Again beautifully decorated for Christmas with 2 trees. Thoughtful welcome hamper. The cottage was super clean and fully kitted out. My husband and I both said we could live there. Great space and even a sweet patio. Unfortunately it was too cold for our stay but can imagine the patio is lovely when the weather is warm. Great to have private parking and security with electronic gates made us feel very safe. The only thing we would have liked are toiletries. There were hard soaps but bath/shower gel and shampoo would have been helpful. A totally fabulous stay in a great location near two gorgeous pubs. We would definitely go back and highly recommend. Thank you.

The accommodation was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The location was perfect, being very quiet and located away from main roads etc. Great pubs in the village and fantastic walks in the area. For access to Cheshire's highlights with National Trust properties and the countryside, it couldn't have been better. Good shops nearby too. We had to leave a day early for a family event, but we will definitely be back to explore the area further. Just a note for the holiday company, the property is not near Snowdonia, but could be accessed with a longer journey. Many thanks to Pauline :-)

The property is very well equipped and maintained. It was very clean. We appreciated the lovely welcome pack. It is in a great location for exploring the area and there are 2 good pubs at the bottom of the lane. Negatives for us- we didn't find the settee particularly comfortable and still think the window in the main bedroom needs a blackout blind of some sort (same feedback as last time). These are minor points though and we would definitely book again.

Thanks again for your feedback. Sorry you don’t find the sofa very comfortable. Hopefully this won’t spoil your stay, should you choose to stay again. Re black out blinds, we asked a couple who stayed with us for 97 nights last year sleeping in the main bedroom. Would blackout blinds have made a difference to their stay. They said they would use sleep mask if it did so felt is very much personal choices. So have kept the blinds as is. We do value your feedback Property Owner

Comfortable and warm. Everything you need for self-catering and a pub a few yards away if you want to treat yourself. Lots of information so you know how everything works. The airport noise did not bother us. A quiet location compared with other places close to transport routes. The Aldi in Knutsford had everything we needed and was relatively cheap. I recommend the fillet steak. My mobile signal was not always good inside the cottage, maybe my old phone but possibly due to the metal staircase but away from it in the entrance was good. The friendly owner was on hand if there had been any problems.

Thank you for you positive comments. Plus the valuable information for other users. Re phone signal, it helps to put mobile phones on WiFi calling in the property if you struggle with the signal. It seems to depend on your provider as to phone connectivity. The broadband & phones are usually not a problem. Property Owner

  • "We spent a fantastic week at Grimsditch Dairy in August."

It is a beautiful cottage in the most beautiful location. It is clean and comfortable with a generous kitchen area which we used to prepare several family meals. We loved the open plan design encompassing the kitchen, dining and living space - very social. There is also an outdoor patio area with a table and chairs which we used a lot as the weather was good. A huge positive to this cottage is it’s location. It is in a tiny village called Mobberley which is just beautiful. Walking from the cottage down a quiet lane (2 minute walk) you reach two fabulous pub/restaurants. We enjoyed delicious meals in both. An added bonus is that these pubs also have lovely outdoor seating areas where we enjoyed sitting for a drink on an evening. One thing worth pointing out is that on the Sykes listing it states that this cottage is in North Wales/Snowdonia. It is not. It is literally at the end of the runway of Manchester airport. But don’t let this put you off. It is NOT noisy. In fact it is fascinating to watch the planes coming and going. There’s brilliant views from both the patio and the living room window. If you walk from the cottage a little further down the lane you can actually reach the end of the runway! This was great and entertained us and out two teenage sons! We’d definitely recommend Grimsditch Dairy. We’ve stayed in a lot of cottages and this is certainly one of our favourites. It’s location is the best.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback!! We agree entirely we are no where near snowdonia and wales and have no idea why it is even on our location. Property Owner

It gave us everything we needed and totally exceeded our expectations. The surrounding area is beautiful and the cottage location offers lovely walks in peaceful countryside. There is a first class British pub easily in walking distance and also a top restaurant too. Both offer quality products and service. The property owners were exceptionally welcoming and could not do enough to ensure that our stays were problem free. The level of friendliness and support from them was outstanding. We cannot fault this property at all and highly recommend it to all. You will not be disappointed.

  • "Probably the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in."

The cottage was spacious, very clean and everything was of a very high quality. The little welcome hamper was a lovely touch. One tiny bit of feedback- curtains or a Roman blind in the bedroom would be great to stop the light coming in through the Venetian blind. Great location with 2 great pubs about a minute's walk and other facilities in the village (co-op, bakery, pharmacy). Good base for exploring Cheshire by car. We also had a trip to Chester catching the train from Mobberley station- about 50 minutes. We were sad to leave this place are our planning our next visit!

Thank you so much for your positive comments. When planning the Dairy we made the decision on Venetian blinds as being a ground floor room it would allow light in during the day but also give privacy. Rather than having a Roman blind shut all day. We may need to consider adding curtains to solve this issue. Thank you, we are always trying to improve ourselves.
