  • "A lovely cottage, very well equipped and clean."

We were surprised to find ourselves so far from the rest of the cottages and facilities, although we didn't mind as it was nice and quiet, but you could add to the listing that this cottage is a few minutes walk from the games room etc. Also it is all ground floor but there are two steps within the property which would cause a problem for some people.

  • "The cottages at Plaish Farm are of an exceptional standard."

We actually used Turnip House more than Spinney Retreat which is an excellent cottage - spacious, light and airy. However the biggest plus are the facilities on offer - we used the tennis court and games rooms (particularly table tennis) - although we didn't use the swimming pool facility. The walk around the perimeter of the farm grounds (taking in the lakes) was another highlight.

  • "In over 20 years of holiday cottages this has to be my number one destination for all round facilities and friendliness."

My great grandson was buzzing all week with go-karts swimming pool farm animals rowing boat and even a ten minute ride on the farmers tractor. My two dogs and myself enjoyed the hour long circular walk from the cottage every morning. Will definitely go back again.

  • "The cottage felt like home."

The owners were so friendly and have put so much thought into making sure everything you might need is in the property. The extras like the games room. Go karts, tennis; swing ball in the garden. Cupboard full of toys and puzzles for small children. Country walk all signposted, little boat on the lake which our teenagers loved. They allowed my husband a ride on the combine. The swimming pool is absolutely amazing so luxurious and a gym too.. The location is perfect for exploring Shropshire. There was information galore in the cottage on eating out, places to visit, as well as The owner telling us of great places to go. There is nothing I could say at all that would be negative. We all loved it, even our 14 and 15 year old who are very hard to please. We left the cottage as a very happy family. Although I had to hold back the tears as I didn't want to leave.
