  • "Lovely place to stay overall with great access to nearby tourist locations."

Hot tub lovely. I just have a few minor complaints. The pillows in the upstairs room were very worn out and flat. The tap for the bath leaked very badly when used leaving a huge puddle of water on the floor. There is a large area of damp/mould in the corner downstairs room. The large sofa was very hard and uncomfortable.

The owner met us to go over controls on hot tub & under floor heating ( thermostats in each room). The house was very comfortable to stay in, well furnished & equipped & we loved the outside space and of course made full use of the hot tub even in the rain! We would highly recommend The Green House & will definitely stay there again.

  • "Welcome pack was basic but the place was better than the photos."

Everywhere seems to be a distance but I guess that’s Cheshire! Owner was really welcoming and helpful and everything worked as it should. Only down point is that the fabulous upstairs suite with separate lounge and bathroom has a stand-alone bath and shower under a sloping roof so you can’t stand and shower, only kneel and only tv in the bedroom making the mezzanine lounge redundant unless you need the sofa bed. Both need sorting really. Ok for families but for groups staying it’s hard work.

  • "It's a splendid cottage, with great facilities."

It rained pretty much the whole time we were there (for a school friends' reunion), but it didn't matter much because the house was lovely and we could sit around chatting (and drinking) without worrying too much about the rest of Cheshire. Recommended.

We were very lucky that we had a fabulous week with the weather, so spend most of it with all the doors open in the cottage and eating outside. The main bedroom is lovely plenty of room, the other bedrooms are very nice, not over big and could do with some drawers for putting some things away, even though there's drawers under the bed.
