  • "We had a lovely weekend break at Wisteria Cottage and the champagne chilling in the fridge was a fantastic gesture, which was enjoyed in the very nice hot tub."

The accommodation was lovely and comfortable, with some high quality finishes and well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms and downstairs shower excellent and the beds were comfortable, with lovely high quality bedding and towels. Location was excellent for local facilities, the town and walks. The only negatives were no iron or ironing board and consideration of putting sensor lights on the upper tier of steep stairs ( probably not suitable for people with mobility problems). The cottage was clean but some areas such as floors, carpets and skirting boards needed further attention. However, the above did not impact on our most enjoyable stay and I would recommend this cottage.

Good afternoon , Thank you so much for your time to write this review, it is very much appreciated. However I appreciate your points mentioned regarding the iron and ironing board which is normally available for your required use discreetly positioned in the second bedroom wardrobe , but unfortunately prior to your arrival it had been used to press fresh bedding in the "private room" and not put back where it belongs ! So my sincere apologies for that. Sensor lights are due to be installed on the upper staircase as soon as availability allows , also further attention to certain carpets between guests as we have been fully booked since its launch in February 2023 ! We will continue to maintain "Wisteria Cottage " with whatever is required to ensure it is offered to all our lovely guests to the highest standard of comfort , cleanliness and hygiene moving forward. Once again thank you for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back in due course, Kind regards Debbie Boardman and the team. Property Owner

  • "This was a fantastic property which exceeded our expectations."

My family needed a place to stay in Nantwich so we could visit my dad whilst at the same time having a base for some day trips in the surrounding area. The property is much bigger than we anticipated, being spread over many floors which were all very well thought out. Everything had been considered, from the fully equipped kitchen (you really don't need to bring a thing), the huge TV in the Living room, easy to use heating, lovely bedrooms with clean bedding and comfy beds. There is a wood burning stove in the living room which we didn't use but certainly would have if we visited in the winter. We really couldn't fault it. Our kids had a wonderful time exploring the many different rooms and the staircases. There was a bit of an argument about who was sleeping on the top floor. It's a very characterful property which adds to the sense of cosiness. Other bonuses. There is a jacuzzi in the garden which our kids absolutely loved. There is a perfectly sized parking space at the front of the house. It is a quiet area and close to all of the amenities that Nantwich has to offer including cafe's, pubs, restaurants. We will certainly book again as it's ideal for us for visiting family and much better and less expensive than the local hotels and B&B's.

Good morning , thank you for your delightful review of "Wisteria Cottage". I am thrilled you were very satisfied and had a very enjoyable stay during your time in the lovely historical town of Nantwich. It has been my pleasure to ensure you had everything you would need to ensure a happy comfortable stay . I look forward to hearing from you again in the not too distant future. Kindest regards Debbie Boardman and "the team". Property Owner

About the location

NANTWICH

Crewe 5 miles; Wrenbury 5.5 miles; Sandbach 10 miles; Whitchurch 11.1 miles

The delightful market town of Nantwich is located 5 miles to the south east of Crewe and stands on the banks of the River Weaver and the Shropshire Union Canal. It is famous for its outdoor Brine Pool which is one of the few remaining in the UK and heated throughout the summer. There are regular market days throughout the week and a monthly farmers' market showcasing the best of produce from the local area. Nantwich town centre is pedestrianised and benefits from some superb examples of historic buildings, and is well worth visiting in spring and summer when it comes alive with floral displays throughout the streets. Nantwich plays host to many events throughout the year, including The Battle of Nantwich in January, the Jazz, Blues and Music Festival at Easter and the world-famous International Cheese Awards in July. Both Market Drayton and Whitchurch are within 12 miles and well worth a day trip to enjoy their history and architecture.
