    “Excellent stay”

Both myself and my partner stayed at The Stables in Soudley Market Drayton very recently. This cottage is set in very peacefull surroundings and the views are absolutely beautifull. Also very cosy too. The furniture is very comfortable and so too is the bed. Also the kitchen and facilities are excellent and the bathroom has a shower and everything is spotlessly clean. It's a short drive to The Fox and Hounds pub with new landlord who will be serving food from this July. Also there is The Wharf ...

Also there is The Wharf Tavern where the food is excellent and the portions are very generous too and it's also very good value! Set in a lovely location next to the canal. Market Drayton is only a 10 minute drive and there are some nice local shops with nice tearooms. Shrewsbury is a 40 minute drive and it's a lovely town. A big thankyou to our hosts Gill and Tim who were both very friendly and very helpfull too. We will definitely stay here again this year..and we're both looking forward to going back there. The cottage is in a fabulous location and if you're looking for peace and quiet then this is a very ideal place to stay. Many thanks. Tony & Kathy

Shawbroom Farm Barns

Shawbroom Farm Barns are a pair of semi-detached quality barn conversions located next to the owners’ home on their working smallholding, at the end of a quiet lane in the small North Shropshire village of Soudley. Together the barns sleep four and both have private decked terraces and hot tubs. For horse owners there is stabling and grazing available with plenty of room for your horsebox so you can take advantage of some delightful bridlepaths leading from the cottage up into nearby Bishops Wood. A couple of miles away is the village of Cheswardine with pubs serving meals and a short drive takes you to Newport or Market Drayton, both of which have a selection of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. The Shropshire Union Canal passes nearby, ideal for enjoying a gentle stroll along the towpath and wildlife spotting. With fishing, cycling, walking, horse riding, golf and numerous places to visit such as Weston Park, Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and Ellesmere, these lovely quality barns are a perfect destination for a romantic and relaxing break all year round.
