High winds and snow made for some bracing walks in the surrounding countryside but we were always warm and cosy when we returned to the cottage. The interior is finished to a high standard and has all you need for a comfortable stay. We were made to feel welcome and our son enjoyed feeding carrots to the resident donkeys on the farm. ! The cottage is spotlessly clean and fresh and had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay, and so well equipped. The farm location is extremely peaceful, lovely views from every window and with a nice big garden and outside seating. The hosts were kind and friendly, giving us some lovely farm fresh eggs to enjoy for breakfast. Good selection of DVD’s to watch in the evenings also, sitting in a pleasant lounge. Very clean laundry room too. The donkeys and goats were an added bonus, very tactile and obviously used to visitors. Would love to make a return visit, and will highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit the beautiful Derbyshire Dales.
