  • "We had a great stay."

Lovely apartment and super position in the town. Such a comfy bed, great night's sleep every night. If I'm being really picky. I'd like a small bedside table on the left hand side. A couple of drinks coasters in the bedroom to protect surfaces. ( we pinched some card ones from the pub ! ) Finally a shelf or basket for a soap dish and shower accoutrements in the shower. We had a really great time.

Thanks Chris for the lovely review! I'll sort those little extras. Best wishes, Jane Property Owner

  • "Absolutely can't fault Beresford Dale."

We really enjoyed our stay here and it had pretty much everything we needed. Ashbourne is a lovely place to visit and you're a couple of miles away from everything the Peak District has to offer. The steps up to the apartment are fairly tricky to navigate, especially with luggage, but if you're okay with that then I can recommend Beresford Dale.

Thanks so much for the lovely review Neville! It was a pleasure to have you stay. Best wishes, Jane Property Owner

  • "After 13 nights in the Milldale Apartment, we had to extend our stay for a further 3 nights at short notice."

Jane was very helpful and assisted us with favorable rates for our extended stay. We moved to the Beresford Dale as the Milldale was unavailable for our addition requirements. Love apartment (similar to Milldale) although on the second floor and has lower ceilings. Whilst the Beresford Dale is lovely, I would recommend the Milldale if available, due to higher ceilings, bigger windows to watch the world go by and if travelling with large suitcases, the 2nd floor is a tight spiral staircase which is challenging with heavy suitcases. All in all, a great facility with private parking and a super helpful host (Jane)

Thanks Nicolas! I am glad you loved Beresford Dale, as well as Milldale. Best wishes, Jane. Property Owner

  • "Beresford Dale is a beautifully decorated and furnished apartment right in the centre of Ashbourne."

Parking is easy in your designated spot and keyless entry is a bonus. We could find no fault at all and although we only used the kettle during our stay the kitchen was very well equipped with top notch utensils, plates and cutlery. The wine and chocolates were very much appreciated and we would very much recommend anyone to stay here, maybe on the lower floor though if you have any mobility issues as the last flight of stairs are quite steep but we knew this so cannot fault it. Thankyou

  • "Lovely apartment, perfect location and a lovely welcoming gesture with the chocolates and the wine."

We would definitely book again if/when we are ever in the area in the future. The added spectacle of Shrovetide was exciting and bonkers all in one. It was a very enjoyable stay and made it very easy to visit the Peak District, all the locals were very friendly and the fish and chips in the Market Place were to die for!

Hi Brian, thanks for a lovely review! I am glad you enjoyed Shrovetide - and I completely agree about the fish and chips. They are excellent. Thanks again and best wishes, Jane Property Owner

Jane was really helpful before and during our stay. Hand sanitizer outside all the doors and in the apartment. Bottle of wine and chocolates was a lovely surprise. Would recommend as a base if you are planning on exploring Derbyshire. Plenty of good walks close by including the Tissington Trail. We would also recommend the Bowling Green Inn 5 minutes away. We ate there twice during our stay and both times food was excellent. Also the Italian Segreto was lovely

  • "Wow, what an apartment."

The owners have thought of everything to make a stay here a home from home experience. The apartment is luxuriously and tasteful decorated with high end kitchen appliances and a superb shower. Whilst there was some noise from the high street as our apartment directly overlooked the town square, this was not an issue and the bedroom to the back of the accommodation was lovely and peaceful. The private parking was a bonus. We were able to have days out in the surrounding area (which is beautiful by the way) with the knowledge that parking wouldn’t be a problem on our return. I can not recommend Beresford Dale enough....... we didn’t want to leave and will be back in 2021. High accolade indeed for us, as we rarely revisit the same holiday accommodation.

About the location

ASHBOURNE

Matlock 15.7 miles; Bakewell 16.6 miles; Chatsworth 20.4 miles.

Lying at the southern end of the Peak District, Ashbourne is a perfect example of an English market town - market place with stalls, eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses. In its heyday in the 18th-century, the town was a fashionable social centre, and many fine Georgian buildings remain from this period. Today the town still has much to offer in terms of restaurants and inns and is regarded as something of a haven for antique hunters - but don’t expect a bargain! For those who prefer more outdoor pursuits, the Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by and for thrill seekers Alton Towers with its exciting collecting of rides and attractions is just a short drive away.
