  • "A very well presented property in a good location."

    We loved our stay.

  • "Cottage is really well placed for town and getting out an about for walking."

Really comfortable cottage that is well equipped for your stay. Beds comfy and great shower. Sofa is a little small for lots of sitting but perhaps if you are not in the property much that is moot. If you have a big car just follow the brilliant instructions shared by the owner before your arrival.

  • "This was an amazing home, all the equipment was wonderful."

The "welcome" gifts brilliant and very generous. In fact everything was a plus. We did have a little hiccup with the shower controls which was sorted by a quick text. The only slight negative was that the hot water ran VERY hot which would not matter to most people. Thanks for a wonderful holiday home.

  • "Property was fantastic and ideal for a holiday home."

Great location, easy stroll into Ashbourne. Lovely extras left by the homeowner which do make a big difference. Every requirement was met, all necessities were provided where there really is no requirement to but really thoughtful eg bin liners, shopping bags, washing up liquid etc….I was impressed with the quality of the utensils, tableware etc it may seem a strange thing to comment on but these things make a big difference as opposed to equipping a rental with cheap and nasty stuff. I would highly recommend. The only downfall is the parking. I’ve got an Insignia which did fit in the space once I’d worked out the best angle to park however it can be awkward getting out when the other properties have their spaces and the entrance filled. Will definitely return.

The house is maintained to a very high standard, the master bedroom was very comfortable. Everything in this house suited our holiday requirements and we will be looking to book again in the future. The welcome pack was a nice touch and appreciated.

  • "Modern, clean, well equiped property close to town centre."

Wonderful welcome pack on arrival. only downside for us was that the property was close to a very busy crossroads with constant traffic noise from early morning until evening.however some people might not find that a problem .

About the location

ASHBOURNE

Matlock 15.7 miles; Bakewell 16.6 miles; Chatsworth 20.4 miles.

Lying at the southern end of the Peak District, Ashbourne is a perfect example of an English market town - market place with stalls, eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses. In its heyday in the 18th-century, the town was a fashionable social centre, and many fine Georgian buildings remain from this period. Today the town still has much to offer in terms of restaurants and inns and is regarded as something of a haven for antique hunters - but don’t expect a bargain! For those who prefer more outdoor pursuits, the Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by and for thrill seekers Alton Towers with its exciting collecting of rides and attractions is just a short drive away.
