  • "This property is one of our favourite places to visit."

It’s comfortable, relaxing, stylish, has everything we need and is in a great location. The flexible sleeping arrangements and room set ups are an added bonus. The owners go out of their way to ensure that your stay is perfect, even turning up with extra wood for the log burner on a cold night! A perfect property for our weekends away in Bakewell and we’ll definitely be back! 5 star service!

  • "Perfect location for touring and also the accommodation is in the middle of Bakewell so once the car is parked you can walk to shops and restaurants."

It says clearly only parking for a small car think the size of a mini so do request the off street parking, it is only a pleasant 7 minute walk away. The accommodation is very well equipped and very clean the utility room is a great addition.

  • "An amazing property in the heart of Bakewell."

Unlike any cottage that my friends and I had ever been to before in that it was very modern and stylish (as compared to the old and rustic look). The living area was so clean, comfortable and spacious, almost possible to have a holiday just in the house!

  • "Wow! Bank House Mews was amazing."

Beautifully furnished with luxurious fittings. Great amount of crockery, glassware, cutlery etc, felt like you were in someone's home rather than it just being a rental property. Really did have the attention to detail. Fantastic location in Bakewell, quiet spot but close to everything. We went with 7 of us. Myself and Hubbie in ground floor room, my sister in double on 2nd floor and our 4 kids aged 10-13 in the 3rd bedroom. Worked perfectly

And it is a very short walk to the shops everything is so close by The people were at pubs Resturant and shops were very friendly Our favourite place was to take a walk along the river at night as we were very lucky with the weather We visited a lot of places around Bakewell. We went for walks and visited places around the area . In the evening were very cosy the cottage is very well equipped and has a wonderful setting for family/family to share the space. Thank you to Diane and the cleaners. We had a great week

  • "Beautiful house, beautifully kept!"

Everything and more than we needed. One non-en-suite shower would have been better with 6 adults! Owner extremely helpful, friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Parking space provided is on the right side but we also had a second space nearby! Would definitely visit again as there were a lot more things we would like to do!

  • "Beautiful house in the centre of Bakewell."

Great property for sharing with friends, we love the open plan kitchen dining living floor. Beautifully decorated and furnished and a really generous amount of kitchen equipment and crockery. 1 bathroom and 1 shower room are manageable but 1 more shower room would be ideal. Hall area is great for storing walking boots & jackets and utility has a large sink which is great for cleaning muddy boots! This was our 2nd visit as a group of 6 friends. We just love this property!

One small factor they could improve on is the cleanliness of the cupboards & drawers , nothing really bad at all but guessing the 'Molly Maids' are on time schedule and that this is not done on every visit. Few crumbs and a little disorganised but didn't spoil are time there and will go back again .

  • "A beautiful cottage in a superb central location."

It was obvious that no expense was spared in the renovation and furnishings in this cottage. Although we normally like cottages in a more rural location, this really does offer the best of both worlds. You step out of the door and all of the facilities, shops, restaurants and pubs are right on the doorstep and yet when you are in the property it is extremely quiet, even with an infants school next door. Because the living space is on the first floor, we didn’t feel overlooked despite the property being surrounded by other houses. The living area provides an incredibly sociable space with plenty of comfortable seating and a really nice contemporary log burner complete with remote control! The master bedroom is very spacious, the bed was huge and comfortable and the underfloor heating was a welcome luxury. We managed to park our car (a Mini) in the parking space available but you would struggle to get anything much bigger into the area. However there is a parking space available a short walk away so this really isn’t an issue. The owner was very helpful and accommodating with queries we had during our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and Bakewell itself. It is a beautiful area with so many lovely walks and places to visit.

Just one point from our group was that we had difficulty getting the TV to work and could not find the instructions. Possibly would have helped us if the TV instructions were left out visibly near the TV. Otherwise, this property was just wonderful.
