  • "Lovely bungalow in an ideal place for us."

Great to be able to take the dogs and the facilities and location were great for them. Very comfortable accommodation. Only issue was dog poo... Lots in the paddock and not much sign of people clearing it up! We didn't use the paddock as we were out a lot but walked through it to go out on walks.

  • "Very clean and comfortable house, lovely private patio and south facing enclosed garden with fields behind."

Perfect for dogs! Sett Valley footpath just across the road too. One or two housekeeping issues: bathroom hand soap empty, no soap in kitchen, not enough dishwasher tablets or hot tub towels. Next door neighbour does not always clear up after her (unsupervised) dog, particularly in area in front of back garden fence. Collander and full size ironing board would be good additions.

  • "Loved the Cabin one of the best cottages we’ve been in."

The garden was great for the dogs and it was nice and secluded hot tub was great after our days walking. The bed was huge and so comfortable. Would certainly come back here again.

  • "The bungalow is very well decorated and comfortable."

There are some great restaurants within walking distance and lots of walks from the door. The hot tub was lovely to come back to after a long walk.

  • "WINDOW CLEANER TURNED UP WHILE IN HOT TUB!"

! For my partner & I this ruined our experience unfortunately, we felt this could of been arranged whilst property was empty. Gate was locked, window cleaner reached over and unlocked it, this scared our dogs. Plus window then cleaner left the side gate wide open, we have dogs and property is next to an extremely busy road. WiFi was lacking & no bbq as listed on property details. Could do with more kitchen essentials-no washing up sponge, bring your own egg cups!

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback - we are upset to hear that the window cleaner ruined your experience as we did try our very best to ensure you enjoyed your stay. As we are quite booked up, we ask the window cleaner to call on his regular monthly round (which on this occasion was a Wednesday lunchtime) rather than when the property is empty. In future we shall ask him not to clean the windows if someone is using the hot tub. The bbq was actually in the shed and a new washing up cloth is always under the sink. Thank you for pointing out that there are no egg cups - they have now been ordered :) Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at the Cabin."

We appreciated the efforts that had been made to add little luxuries to make the house warm and cosy. Hot tub was lovely and providing throws and dressing gowns was a lovely touch. We did have three bulbs that had gone - one in dining area and the top ones of each of the two bulb floor lamps - but could find no spares. The only other thing we would have appreciated was more crockery and cutlery so that we could make full use of the dishwasher. Overall a great place to stay with excellent access to lots of lovely dog walks so we were all happy.

  • "A lovely stay!"

Everything needed for a base to explore the peaks. I found the beds good but my wife thought they were very firm so if you like a softer bed then pack a topper. Overall very happy and great for the dogs. Would definitely stay again.

  • "Spotlessly clean."

Field access great for dogs, Quick, easier than expected walk into the village centre and Sett valley trail.

  • "A really well appointed bungalow with everything you could need."

The decor is quite modern and the house is very clean. There is a small enclosed garden (though a more adventurous dog than ours might be able to get out). There is also a large paddock which is ideal for canine ball chasing. The prosecco in the fridge was a nice touch! Hayfield is a lovely village and gives access to lots of walks. We were only there for two whole days but managed the Sett Valley Trail, which is a lovely walk, and the short but steep climb up to Lantern Pike. Recommended.
