The property

The Scrape is an idyllic stone end-terrace, resting at the heart of the charming Bradwell village in Hope Valley.

Located upstairs, you will find two cosy bedrooms, comprising a king-size double and a double, each boasting ample storage and charming views of the lovely village.

Outside, you will find off-road parking, suitable for two cars and a spacious patio area, complete with table and chairs, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine whilst appreciating the breath-taking surrounding views.

Within the centre of Bradwell village, you will find a local pub and shop, both within a five-minute walk from the cottage.

To fill your days whilst visiting the cottage, you have access to miles of countryside to explore within the Hope Valley.

Such walks include the Ridge Walk Mam Tor to Losehill and Stanage Edge.

Alternately, you can visit Treak Cliff Cavern, where you can enjoy a 40-minute guided tour within the cave with some of the finest stalactites in the Peak District.

The Scrape is the ideal base for an exciting getaway to the area, filled with charm and necessities, you are guaranteed a memorable stay.

Castleton 3 miles; Tideswell 4 miles; Buxton 11 miles; Bakewell 12 miles.

Bradwell is a pretty village in the Hope Valley, in a prime position in the Peak District National Park. Tideswell, with its renowned Tideswell church, known as the ‘Cathedral of the Peak’ is just four miles from Bradwell. The picturesque village of Castleton is three miles away, home to fascinating caves, including the Blue John Cavern, and is overlooked by the crumbling Mam Tor or 'Shivering Mountain'. The dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, famous as the start of the Pennine Way, is nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open-air, heated swimming pool. Slightly further afield you can potter around the historic market town of Bakewell, or the Spa town of Buxton, renowned for its spring water, opera house and arts, jazz and opera festivals. It is easy to spend a whole day at Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, whilst there are many historic properties nearby. Pull on your boots and enjoy the spectacular scenery, or explore a web of cycling trails, with bike hire available on the Monsal Trail, the Tissington Trail and at the Derwent Reservoir. Bradwell has shops, pubs and places to eat and makes an excellent base for enjoying this beautiful area.
