  • "Very dusty property and left us cloths and tea towels that looked like they’d been dragged through dirt."

Main towels smelt musty as well. On the good side good location and a very warm cottage the garden and gated areas were great. But a cottage which is smaller than the photos look and quite a tight fit. For a cottage for 4 the pans weren’t large enough. Overall it could do with a good deep clean. The location was great

We are both absolutely astonished by your feedback. We maintain a very high standard of cleanliness throughout. Before your visit the cottage was cleaned top to bottom. The linen is fresh and clean on each change over. At no stage have we tried to misrepresent or mislead. I can only suggest people read all the other positive feedback we have had. We provide a warm clean cottage to a high standard. We have no idea why you chose to post such a negative poor response. George and Liz Property Owner

  • "What a lovely cottage, furnished & cleaned to a high standard."

It was probably the best shower we've ever had in a holiday cottage & the bed & sofas were very comfortable. The kitchen had an excellent hob / oven & the fridge & freezer space was more than adequate for a weeks stay. Smart TVs & excellent Wifi throughout made it a home from home. Bradwell has a great fish & chip shop, the Bakehouse with it's Pizza nights & the Co-op meant anything we didn't bring was a very short walk away. The only thing we missed from the description was the fact the garden/courtyard was not directly accessible from the house & access was from the kitchen entrance area which was shared by the neighbours meaning we couldn't just let our dogs out directly from the house into the garden. Would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone.

Thank you so much for your feedback it means lot to us. I will make it clear in the description regarding the garden. It is not something we can alter. Of course there us the front door leading onto the footpath but this requires a lead! George and Liz Property Owner

There was milk & wine in the fridge when I arrived & also tea & biscuits. The owner sent me a text on the day of arrival to tell me that the cottage was ready & I could arrive early if I wanted to. Apparently he sent me an email too a few days before but unfortunately I never received it. I also received a text after leaving, thanking me for staying & that, after reading my comments in the guestbook he would be rectifying a couple of things - only to do with kitchen utensils. This all shows that the owners genuinely want you to enjoy your stay & you are not just another "punter". Bradwell itself was a perfect base, having everything you should need for a self-catering break without having to visit major towns & supermarkets. Unless you want to of course. All in all a great place to be based & I would not hesitate to stay at The Dispensary again when I am in the area.

Thank you for your feedback . We had a plan to sort out the garden last year but as with everyone covid had a major impact on our finances . We are going to move the bike shed at the end of the garden to allow more space although it is is never going to be a “proper” garden. However it is a lovely spot to enjoy the afternoon sunshine perhaps after a walk or day out. We will then have tubs with plants for the summer. For practical reasons the gravel will remain. Also we have just had confirmation we will have a second car parking space available from the 1st of November. We always take you feedback very seriously Many thanks Property Owner

Home Away did nothing but take my money as far as I can see I don't know how it was that I found myself on their website placing the booking with them not you, and I appreciate this was a case of my 'buyer beware' as I didn't know you also place your properties with other agencies Lesson learned, but it left me feeling rather bitter.

It's also well placed for walking and lovely places of interest. It took us a little while to find the car parking space.. we had to park at the Co-op and investigate on foot. The cottage is a little dark and I think it would have been a bit claustrophobic if the weather had not been so good, ensuring we could get out. The bulb had gone above the television, meaning it was difficult to see clearly to do my knitting! The seating was not very comfortable.. one of us lay on the bed rather than sitting on a sofa for any length of time. The kitchen was well-equipped, though a cafetiere and a decent bread knife would have been desirable. We're novices with televisions and never did get the one downstairs to work! Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open-air, heated swimming pool.
