Nice location and nice property. We stayed here for 6 weeks whilst waiting for our new build house to be completed Owner very good and replied to any requests quickly . Only issue we had was the cooker hob didn’t worked properly and was frustrating but this is an observation and not a complaint It’ is like home from home and everything is there for you

The quality of the property, fixtures and fittings, and equipment are all of a high standard. The owner responded promptly and helpfully to any questions that we had. We would happily book this property again.

Impossible to use barbecue as so very dirty. Dangerous door lock on bedroom upstairs as handle did not work so could get locked in or out with no way to get out. 1 or 2 minor problems such as no key for one set of double doors. Disappointing considering the high price paid.

Also couldn't open main French doors in lounge area. Would have been nice to have enough sofas to have fitted what the cottage slept in one area.

  • "We spent a most enjoyable week at Induja."

The house was clean and spacious and had the best equipped kitchen we’d ever encountered in a holiday let. The house is located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Sheffield, and is tucked away down a drive, so very quiet and private. This, and the comfy beds, meant we all slept really well, even on the first night. We had a couple of queries during our stay, and the owners responded very quickly. We’d happily recommend this property to friends and family, and hope to be able to return to it on our next visit to Sheffield.

The beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of space . We did have problem with the heatng ( couldn't adjust it) but the owner is expecting an engine to sort it out. I always take a supply of tea towels on holiday, and there weren't any, so they came in handy!

  • "Really excellent all round."

Loved the little touches of India around the place in paintings and ornaments. There are two pull-down beds in the TV/sofa room which weren't mentioned in the description! It's definitely worth mentioning as I always look for properties in terms of available beds, since I am organizing for large groups with very specific numbers of couples and non-couples. Also loved that the back fence opens out into a big green space that's a public park. All worth mentioning in the description! Also there's a chocolate fountain :o

  • "Unfortunately there were a number issues relating to this property."

Firstly the heating is very difficult to control and the hive control system doesn't seem to work in controlling the heating. The main oven does not work. The dishwasher internal baskets are very worn and are difficult to side in and out. There is a ceiling light hanging out. Several of the bathroom fans do not work. Again serval of the internal doors do not shut correctly and do not latch. Some of the fitted furniture is badly worn. The windows were not clean. Guttering outside has plants growing in them. Suggest the property could do with a complete spruce up. The property would then be 5* I have made the owner aware of some of these issues.

  • "We had one or two minor issues which we relayed to the owner who lives away so relies on feedback to know what is wrong."

It was a poor start as we arrived late due to the weather and it was wet and dark. The security lights had not been left on, it was extremely difficult to find the key safe and would have been impossible to enter the numbers if I very luckily, had not had a small torch in my bag. But we walked into a lovely warm house. I would be happy to return if I wished for another family get-together (this trip was for my 70th birthday).

Fridge was dirty we had to clean that ourself also the work surfaces, don’t get me wrong the lay out was lovely, but just very dirty, not good enough when you are paying this sort of money,

  • "The house is in a great location with ample parking (we had four cars which easily fit on the driveway)."

The beds were comfortable and the house was spacious and met our needs well. Contact from the housekeeper beforehand was also great as she was able to check how we would prefer the beds to be made up etc. Some issues with cleanliness; there was a lot of dust and hair on the floors, and collected around chair legs/in corners. Downstairs was very cold and there were no instructions about heating etc other than a sheet asking to not touch the hive controls. I think it would be helpful to have a welcome book/sheet which explains how the heating/cooker/rubbish collection works. One of the showers also did not work which wasn't ideal for 9 people and no hand towels in the bathrooms which again was a hot annoying. For what we needed (a group of nine friends staying for 2 nights) it was fine. However if I were going with family or staying for longer it would have been less ideal.

We went with 6 adults and a 2 year old. The property itself was spotless and a great space. Then outside there was an adjoining park with swing park and the village was only 10mins walk. I would definitely come back if we are in the area again.

However the owner of the house was very good at communicating with us and answered my questions. I felt that they would have let us know anything we needed to. The house was well equipped and the neighbourhood was quiet and very pleasant. Travel from there into the Peak District was easy. We had a lovely weekend.

  • "A beautiful house, great location and plenty of room for 9 of the family."

However, we felt attention to detail would have contributed to the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. No Shelves and towel rails in the bathrooms. Toiletries and towels had to go on the floor. Towels were hard and well used. No j cloths or kitchen rolls. Not enough tea towels or hand towels for the kitchen. Too few dish washer tablets. The automatic lid on kitchen waste bin did not work. Possibly needed a new battery. The door to utility room did not close, catch broken . Lights under the kitchen cabinets not working. Not enough T cutlery ,crockery or serving dishes. Not enough dishes for baking. Eg roasting dish! Not enough bed side tables . Books and cups on floor. Bedroom tv not working. DVD player not fitted with correct plug to go into the tv. SCART that was attached was for a video recorder which was thrown into a cupboard in the sitting room, together with old videos . Shame as we'd brought children's DVDs for us all to enjoy . It looked as if the owners had left in a hurry and equipment and old curtains and bedding had just been thrown into cupboards making them unusable by guess. The house was particularly cold on our arrival. There were no heating instructions. It got too hot. We could only turn all the switches in panel to off and still the heating came on for 4 days then it went off completely for our last day. It would have been welcoming to have had a welcome basket with tea, coffee ,milk biscuits to come to after a long journey , one of us by train and before we were able to get to the shops. Told the shops and station closer than they were. Would definitely need a car. Security on back gate questionable. Catch difficult when wet and gate was open when we arrived. I think this is enough but there were other issues which would be found if the house was well serviced and tested so that everything was in working order and the necessities for cooking and cleaning were available. Shame...spoiled what could have been a very enjoyable stay.

Four toilets and three bathrooms took the pressure of getting ready to go anywhere! The communal space worked really well for cooking/all eating at a big table but we were glad we had a few extra camping chairs with us to all sit in the evening. The underfloor heating kept us warm and cosy. The location, right on the edge of the Peaks but ten minutes from Sheffield, was perfect for us! • "I booked the holiday over the phone as I was struggling to find something suitable at short notice online."

They were really helpful and found several options, also letting me know that the price for two or three nights was the same - this made our weekend as we could relax on Sunday and warm up/shower after a long mountain bike ride rather than having to vacate in the morning. The owners of Induja were wonderful - called on our way to let us know of a couple of issues with the property that had been caused by previous guests. These were very minor but it was nice to let us know. The house was incredible - far exceeded our expectations - spacious, nice finishings - lots of hard floor (suitable for outdoorsy types) and very cosy. The garden area and gate onto the field was brilliant for the dogs and we were 15 mins from Stanage/Ladybower and about 30 from Edale. We would certainly book again - a brilliant weekend break!

Beautiful setting , ideal for visiting the Peak District. Great walk across the park into the small village area each morning. Ideal for place for our puppies. Plenty of space for a large family. Quiet and safe area. A few minor maintenance issues that the owner is addressing. Nothing that spoilt our holiday though. Another week would have been great! Would recommend this property for a large group wanting space to relax.

The bungalow suited us well, the large dining table was a welcome addition. Access to the playing field from the back garden was great and a welcome short cut to the shops/pub. The place itself could probably do with a deeper clean however the sheets and towels were very clean. The addition of some kitchen utensils for those who want to cook e.g weighing scales, could prove useful.

  • "There is a long list of faults with this property."

In the bathroom on the landing the shower did not work because the handle that turns it was missing and a light was out. In the bathroom on the left as you enter the property the toilet seat was totally detached from the pan, in the same toilet the shower fitting on the wall is very loose and the over flow in the bath is very loose. also some of the large floor tiles have no grout in between them. the dinning room chairs in the open plan area are falling apart ie the mortice joints holding the legs together are coming apart. At least four of the downstairs doors are incorrectly hung so the do not shut fully, the lid on the waste bin in the kitchen did not open unless you stuck a sharp object in to leaver it open, The patio doors did not close fully and let rain , slugs and a draft in. I contacted yourselves and the owner about the bathroom issues but alas after one to may conversations you only managed to fix one light and the toilet seat. after the maintenance man had finished he left the bathroom in a real mess with dirt and old bulbs left next to and on my friends toiletries, so I had to call you again and that afternoon it was cleaned. All the other faults were left unresolved including the non working shower so my friend had to use mine. In my opinion the property should be taken off your listing until the maintenance is brought up to scratch, I myself am involved in property maintenance and this would not be tolerated in my firm. I paid the best part of £1000 to stay here and I feel I did not get value for money.
