The cottage was perfect for two people.. It had everything we needed in a fantastic location? Although it could sleep four people, it would have been a little cramped in the living room and one of the sofas is uncomfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable however. After walking and exploring in the damp Derbyshire countryside, it was lovely to return to this warm, cosy cottage. The coal fire was ready to light, but we didn't bother as the central heating was perfectly adequate. We particularly appreciated the spacious kitchen where the table was big enough and the lighting bright enough for us to enjoy playing board games in the evenings. Bugsworth Basin is fascinating and the nearby town of New Mills well worth a visit. There is plenty to do in the immediate location so we did not need to venture far from the cottage. However, had we stayed longer there were many tourist attractions within easy travelling distance. We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage.
