The property

A traditional, stone barn conversion situated on its own grounds, just a short distance away from the villages of Dovedale and Ashbourne.

Perfect for travellers or couples, this retreat has an enchanting, cosy feel, a lovely base to return to after a day of sightseeing and adventure.

Arrive into the modern lounge, which boasts comfortable sofas, and a contemporary fire to warm those cooler evenings.

A lovely kitchen is tucked into the corner of the room, home to a breakfast table, ideal for those early morning refreshments.

Many snug nights can be spent in the king-size bedroom, which is elevated by high ceilings and an en-suite bathroom that is a nice addition to the ground floor shower room.

A spiral staircase brings a hint of character to the retreat, leading up to a wonderful mezzanine area, with twin beds overlooked by exposed beams.

Views of the countryside lie outside the window, and there is certainly a hidden charm to this room.

The wonderful location will lure you in with its places of interest, and only four miles away is the world-renowned Alton Towers Theme Park.

Further afield rests the market town of Ashbourne with a market place, eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses, along with the city of Stoke-on-Trent and the Peak District National Park.

A home-away-from-home not to be missed.
