“The cottage we had was perfect for our needs.”

It would benefit from a grill pan to cook the bacon. It was clean and comfortable. Parking could be a little tricky as it was quite tight. The bars, restaurants and shops were literally across the road. Although we had our anniversary on the Monday and sadly the choice of where to eat was limited as most places were shut Mon/Tues although this is probably due to covid. We ate at REMS which is a Tapas restaurant and we can recommend . The staff at the Roebuck pub were really nice. The local chippy near there was good. We will definitely be back for a return visit. We found some lovey walks like Monsaldale Head and the weather was perfect.

The property

Nestled in the charming, Peak District town of Chapel-en-le-Frith, with a plethora of amenities on the doorstep and a network of walking and cycling trails to enjoy, is Chapel Mews Cottage.

This attractive, stone-built cottage is located at the end of a terrace on Market Street and is well-suited to families, couples or a group of friends looking to tour the local area.

Feel welcomed into the spacious, open-plan living room and fully relax among the quality fixtures and fittings with your loved ones, getting cosy in front of the fire on a cool winter's evening.

There is laminate flooring throughout and there is a TV with Sky Q, so you can catch up on some of your favourite shows.

Get the family together around the dining table and tuck into a delicious meal prepared in the modern-style kitchen before unwinding with a bottle of wine and late night chats about your adventures so far.

Choose to retire to the bedrooms upstairs, both with chest of drawers and bedside tables with reading lamps, while the master room offers dual aspect over the front of the property.

Make the most of a long summer's evening and sit out on the decked patio at the rear with a chilled drink in hand or head into the town for something to eat at one of the local restaurants and pubs, just a short stroll away.

You have the interesting, spa town of Buxton nearby where you can explore its beautiful Pavillion Gardens, while Bakewell, home of the Bakewell Pudding, offers strolls along the River Wye, a bustling farmer's market and The Old House Museum.

Pay a visit to the stately home of Haddon Hall or the stunning house and gardens of Chatsworth House, and you will also be impressed by the breath-taking scenery surrounding the village of Castleton, dominated by the ruins of Peveril Castle.
