  • “Wonderful views and well situated.”

My only criticism was that the outside table and chairs had seen better days and need to be replaced as we couldn't use them!

The property

Combs 0.5 miles.

A delightful semi-detached cottage next to the owner’s farmhouse on a working stables and camp site in an elevated position with fantastic views down the Combs Valley to the reservoir.

An ideal base for a family or group of four, with good sized and nicely furnished bedrooms enjoying stunning countryside views.

The bathroom comes with both a bath and separate shower so you can choose to have an indulgent soak or invigorating blast.

Downstairs there is a very sociable contemporary open plan living area with modern oak kitchen, dining table and leather sofas to collapse into after an exhausting day’s walk.

The sitting area is a great place to gather round and watch a blockbuster together, along with patio doors looking out to the horses in the paddock and the beautiful valley and reservoir views stretching as far as the eye can see.

The doors open out to a patio which is a great place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sun set in the valley.

With such an uninterrupted view of rolling hills from every angle, it’s hard to believe that you can take a ten minute stroll into the lovely village of Combs or 400 yards in the opposite direction you can be on a train to the bustling city of Manchester.

In the immediate area, there’s fantastic horse riding, walking, cycling, fishing and birdwatching.

Venture just a little further and there’s an almost endless choice such as exploring the cobbled streets of Chapel-en-le-Frith, grand spa town of Buxton, majesty of Chatsworth House or wonder of the Blue John Caverns.

You’d be spoilt for choice whenever you go.
