The property

An inviting home from home to base a family holiday to Derbyshire, Coppice Hollow can be found resting in the historic town of Buxton, on the fringes of the Peak District National Park.

Providing a contemporary interior and a desirable location for an action-packed retreat, there's no better choice for an escape to the countryside.

Pull up outside the property into the designated parking space; two further private, labelled parking spaces are situated just past the cottage, approaching from the town centre, and turning into the driveway, immediately on the right.

Step into the spacious garden where you can find your very own terrace garden, where you can sit out with a refreshing beverage and make the most of the stunning countryside fields adjacent to the property.

Step inside and kick off your shoes in the quirky boot area, before entering the kitchen, home to an eclectic mix of farmhouse and contemporary with a table at its centre where you can enjoy a hearty English breakfast to begin your day of adventure.

Move through into the living/dining room where you can take a seat at the table beside the large bay window letting in an abundance of natural light, making a lovely spot to delve into a good book, the electric fire bringing a welcoming warmth to the room.

Also on the ground floor you can find a single bedroom, perfect for a little one, while up on the first floor rest two king-size bedrooms with their own TVs so you can watch all your favourite films from the comfort of the covers, one room even benefiting from zip/link functions and being a twin on request to give you a flexible sleeping arrangement.

Wake up with a refreshing rinse in the shower, or indulge in a relaxing soak to begin your day perfectly before heading out on your fun-filled day.

Buxton makes a fantastic base for a holiday at any time of year, with so much history awaiting to be discovered, you'll never be short of excitement; visit St Anne’s Well for a taste of the famous Buxton Water, resting opposite the Crescent, an imposing, Grade I-listed, Georgian building, which was one of the first purpose built hotels in the country, with other wonders in the town including The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavillion Gardens and The Opera House, where today you can enjoy a full programme and annual festivals appealing to a wide range of tastes.

Roam the quaint shops and eateries of the town, with the option of fine dining, street markets, tea rooms and more making a lovely way to while away the hours, or enjoy an action-packed day out at Poole's Cavern & Buxton Country Park where you can walk amongst limestone caverns and marvel at crystal stalactites for an experience like no other.

The charming town of Bakewell lies within easy reach too, the perfect place to visit to sample its famous pudding as well as boasting a wide range of historic wonders and being within close proximity to Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House too, while a day exploring the beauty of the Peak District National Park is a must while in the area, with opportunities for walking and cycling amongst some of the most stunning sights in Derbyshire, as well as more adventurous ways to explore such as via kayak tours, caving, fell running, air sports, watersports and more.

Choose Coppice Hollow for the perfect family escape to this exciting area of Derbyshire.

About the location

BUXTON

Tideswell 7 miles; Bakewell 12 miles; Matlock 21 miles.

It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
