    “Wonderful property, full of character!”

Once you visit this property, you’ll promise yourself you’ll come back! It’s wonderfully situated, we enjoyed countryside runs and cycle rides from here with some good country pubs close by. The house itself is great for groups, with enough communal space to be together while enough room for privacy also. It’s lovely to explore it!!

A superb Grade II listed detached farmhouse located in a conservation area in the popular village of Colton, Malt House Farm is a dramatic and delightful property offering beautiful exterior which compliments the land that surrounds it.

With a layout over three floors, the property offers ample opportunities to bring the whole family along for a tranquil trip in the countryside of Staffordshire.

The second oldest property in the village, Malt House Farm possesses a lot of character and charm, with wooden beams running throughout the house with matching décor, in contrast with some contemporary additions, it offers a perfect balance between tradition and modernity to give you a stay to remember.

Take a break in the kitchen before heading up the stairs to unpack your belongings in the dressing rooms.

With a large corner sofa amongst floor-to-ceiling windows, relax with a cup of tea and take in the natural landscapes as the children play in the garden behind.

In the mornings, stop at the breakfast bar for a caffeine boost before the action-packed day ahead, with a wide variety of contemporary appliances to whip up a traditional English breakfast, before heading into the village to explore your surroundings.

For an evening of relaxation, head to the sitting room with a good book and snuggle into the sofa amongst the open fire, with wooden beams and classic interior, this room highlights the character of the house as well as offering a tranquil spot to spend an hour or two.

The second floor of the property boasts a great spot for all the family, combining a family room and a playroom, allowing plenty of opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones.

In the summer months, the conservatory is a great sun trap, where you can relax and unwind in the early mornings before heading out for a day of exploration.

There is also a secure indoor boot & bike room available, perfect for storing your walking boots and bikes.

Head into the local village of Colton for a chance to explore the breath-taking scenery on your very own doorstep; head to the Flower Meadow, which is as pretty as it sounds, before heading back to The Greyhound Inn for an evening of live entertainment and a delicious dinner.

Colton is within close proximity of Rugeley town centre, with local amenities and train stations serving London, Birmingham and the North, it offers a brilliant base for those feeling a bit more adventurous and wanting an action-packed day out.
