  • "Fantastic house, has everything you will need and all the rooms are just beautiful."

    Reviewed by Julie5.0Oct 2023

  • "The house is magnificent, extremely well equipped and appointed to a very high standard with remarkable attention to detail."

It's location, just 5 minutes drive to shops, restaurants and pubs but half a mile down a farm track makes it convenient yet quiet and peaceful, and it's very accessible to the local attractions. We had no issues at all, but did need to contact the owner and we received an immediate and helpful response; I'm confident in the unlikely event of a problem it would be resolved immediately. Highly recommended. Many thanks to Sarah & Nic, we had a lovely week.

We chose to eat in a lot of the time and the layout of the property, particularly the kitchen/dining room, allows you to do this with comfort. It is a good location which allows you to reach most local attractions within a short time. We had a great time.

  • "The most amazing house!"

Cannot fault a single thing, it felt like a luxury 5 star resort. Spotlessly clean, beautiful interior design, perfect blend of modern and character property, stunning garden and views, even the hot tub was high end. And a lovely touch having dressing gowns and slippers for everyone to use. We had the best girly pamper weekend, a local lady came to do treatments for all of us which was amazing (www.feelgoodhq.co.uk) the house was like our own private spa! I would highly recommend and I can’t wait to come back again.

  • "This property exceeded our expectations."

It is a stunning, luxury holiday home in a beautiful and secluded location. Every detail had been thought of to ensure that we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The owners were responsive and easy to communicate with. We will not hesitate to recommend it to others and would be keen to stay again. The only minor change we would make would be to have a small fridge in the bar area but this is only a recommendation for future stays.

The property was outstanding so homely and decorated to a very high standard. The hot tub was a big hit with all the grandchildren we couldn’t get them out. Also the platters which Sarah the owner delivered for my husband’s birthday were absolutely fabulous and went down well. Thank you Sarah This has to be one of our best family holidays and will definitely recommend for a large family gathering every one is already asking if we can return for my 60th later in the year

There for my nieces 40th,age range from 3-93. Lots of areas for people to socialise or read a book. Loved all the beautiful stained glass windows and super hot tub. Great bar area for making cocktails, glasses and cocktail shakers provided. Would recommend The Holly Bush in Makeney,20 minutes walk away, and The Spotted Cow at Holbrook. A visitors file would be a good addition. Also a bigger fridge for 12 people, and for a large house the hanging space and drawers were very limited. Amazing week which we will never forget.Hope to visit again.

We had a group of 12 friends and the house was prefect for our weekend stay. We enjoyed local walks to Holbrook and Belper, local pubs etc. Facilities are excellent both internally and externally. Hot tub a great point and imagine the summer house would be great in the warmer weather especially for families. The Christmas trees and decor were a lovely touch. Communication from / with the owners was excellent.

The owners have clearly put a lot of time and effort into it and they are absolutely lovely to deal with. They are super friendly and helpful. The towns nearby are lovely with friendly people too and there’s lots of walks making it the perfect countryside stay. I had a big groups of friends for the first few days then my family and it was perfect for both. Just cannot recommend the place enough.

Well equipped, very comfortable beds, lots of space inside and out. Lots of little touches that made our stay special. Road to the cottage is quite rough so needed to take it steady, but worth it when you get there. Good quality furnishings throughout which made the cottage feel ‘loved’. I would definitely recommend this cottage to others.

  • "Another excellent stay."

Facilities, decor, furnishings, equipment and attention to detail are superb. Only criticisms, and these aren't really a big deal are as follows: (all on second floor) In wet room the shower is very stiff to turn on and soaks the floor beyond the shower stall unless it's only a weak spray. Also in that bathroom the toilet lid crashes back once you get up from the toilet. Not really a big deal but noisy at night. In super king room I wonder whether it might be possible to put a blind or something on the window that's uncovered?

We have children living in Newcastle, Bath and on the south coast so this was an ideal location for all of us to meet up for an early Christmas. The house was spotless and is beautifully decorated, especially so at this time of the year, and our children enjoyed getting together in the hot tub after the little ones had gone to bed. Good communication with Sarah before we arrived and lots of little personal touches, especially for the little grandchildren (the 2.5yr old particularly liked the snowman bushes).

The house itself is simply stunning and the outdoor space is also fantastic. The welcome basket and birthday balloon was a lovely added touch. My only snag is the track leading to the house was very unforgiving on my low profile sports car/tyres, however my families 4x4s didn’t have a problem. Otherwise a fantastic staycation at a stunning property and no doubt we shall return at some point in the future.

We had a much needed holiday and the best time with our children, their in-laws and our grandchildren. Would highly recommend and the response of the owners has also been brilliant, letting us know what was there to minimise our packing, providing an additional travel cot and returning a much loved bunny who got left behind as he was having so much fun. The house is beautifully appointed and each room tastefully decorated. It was a delight to walk through the house opening each door. The owners have gone to great lengths to ensure all age groups are catered for too. The property has rooms to escape to should you wish to, not to mention lots of outdoor areas to sit in. Three generations came together and resided harmoniously for a whole week! Lots of added little extras made our stay extra special! We’ll definitely return.

  • "We booked Wildersley Farm for a family celebration and cannot recommend it highly enough."

The property description although accurate, does not do it justice. We were met at the property by the owner and as we stepped inside it immediately felt like ‘home’ and it’s fair to say it made me emotional! Wildersley has been lovingly renovated to the highest specification, but it’s hard the describe how amazing it is. The family areas (inside and out) are perfect for spending time together and making memories, but the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms ensures that everyone can have space and privacy if/when they want it. The weather was unexpectedly good and we were able to take full advantage of the hot tub and outdoor areas which again were equipped with the highest quality furniture. We cannot thank Sarah enough, the thoughtful touches which just added to the experience and we have made memories that will stay with us forever. We can’t wait to revisit Wildersley Farm and that speaks volumes.
