"We were disappointed that we did not have any walks even short ones from the property as we have a dog."
The paddock at the back was just mowed with all the grass cuttings left on the grass which meant it was difficult to walk on and very messy.
The side of the garden which was by our property looked pristine in the picture but there and in the front was very unkempt and did not look like the picture at all in fact the property looks as if it needs smartening up a lot. We have been at your properties many times and they have always been very satisfactory.
Some of the kitchen crockery and utensils are very old and in fact we were very disappointed.

"Lovely place in a great location to visit the main destinations of the Peak District."
Stunning views from the property. Dog friendly, which is nice. The owner is a lovely chap to have a chat with too.

"We had a great weeks holiday at this lovely cottage."
It was very cozy and very quiet. The enclosed garden was great for our dog. The Tiger Inn was great for food. Pie night was excellent. We found lots of great walks for us and the dog. A great location

"The cottage could have been signposted clearer, drove past twice before spotting the sign."
Situated well for other attractions. The cottage was adequate but, could have been cleaner. A nice enclosed paddock for the dog.

"We had a lovely 5 day break."
Being a dog owner it was great to have the "paddock" facility for early mornings with the dog - enjoyed seeing owner's dog Marty on the other side wanting to say "hello". Cottage was perfect for us. Very quiet spot. Ideal location for visiting Bakewell, Carsington Water, Chatsworth House. Cottage had all we needed - a baking tray in the kitchen would be handy.

"We have just returned from a lovely week in Derbyshire with plenty to do in the area."
A lovely little cottage with great views to the hills/dales and we also saw several hot-air balloons.
Cottage kitchen equipment was basic but was fine for just two people.
We also had problems with hot water to the bathroom and at times the under-floor
heating was too hot and some of the windows did not open.
The owner was most helpful but we managed to figure it out on the last evening.
Also the flag stones could do with a good scrub probably due to previous dogs running in and out,
also there was no vacuum to clean the bedroom carpet (only a soft brush - so I did what I could).
We found getting in and out off the main road was OK but maybe because it was October and
traffic was lighter.
Overall we had a lovely week and look forward to returning in the future - thank you.

"The cottage was very comfortable and in a good location for exploring the peak district."
We had a wasps nest at the cottage and the owner was quick to sort this issue out. Nothing was too much trouble.

"It was hard to find on a 50mph road and not easy to get out."
We had the end unit and our Springer had over half an acre paddock to chase the ball in. Brilliant area to visit with lots of very pretty towns . Drivers be warned narrow roads with big trucks running . Well worth a visit .

"This cottage was the worst cottage we have stayed in with Sykes we only had one tea plate and when wanted a bowl to make some egg mayo we found dead spiders in the bowl and when I got a pan to boil eggs for breakfast it was dirty and cobweb on the handle."
When we arrived the temp in the cottage was 25 degrees and to cool down we had open all the windows that would open on the following day the heating only worked in the morning but that seemed alright as it was warm enough having been so hot the night before the next day we were out all day and never noticed until the following mornig that we had no hot water or heating so we called the owner who fired the boiler up manually and left to return some time later to check all was well we asked what to do if the temperature remained at 25 degrees and he said open a window.
We left a day early because of the above and the weather.
We another cottage booked for September with you we look forward to better things.

"Had a fantastic time, great location lovely warm welcome on arrival."
The cottage is lovely & cosy has everything you need. Only a couple of minor improvements would be a telly upgrade to a flat screen & wi-fi. Apart from that it was perfect.
