The property

This terraced stone cottage is situated in the attractive village of Darley Dale near Matlock and Bakewell.

On the ground floor you will be welcomed by a cosy sitting room elevated by a woodburner for a relaxing night in.

Close by, a well equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing those home cooked meals, matched with country cream units and boasting a homely feel throughout.

The utility room is the ideal space to dry off your dogs after a day exploring the outdoors.

Wander up to the first floor and both a double and single bedroom are neatly presented, equally promising a peaceful nights sleep.

There is a warm ambience that compliments the layout well, making a soothing place to unwind after a long day.

A classically styled bathroom is resting close to the formation for your convenience.

When the weather is pleasant, why not enjoy a refreshing drink in the garden to make the most of this charming setting.

Just next door to the cottage is a delightful tea room, or just a mile away is a farm shop, deli and two takeaways.

The town of Matlock has much to offer from shops and restaurants to walking trails and magnificent views.

A short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich and to the north are Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Park.

Everything you need for a memorable stay.

About the location

Matlock Bath 1 mile; Bakewell 8 miles.

The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, has been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich. To the north are the market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Park - not to be missed!
