  • "The property is really lovely and was perfect for our group who were celebrating a 30th birthday."

The cookies and coffee on arrival were a lovely touch. The only problem we had was that the travel cot mattress didn’t fit the travel cot so if staying with a little one we’d recommend bringing your own travel cot.

Thank you for your response. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. For reference for future guests the travel cot comes as standard with the usual padded base but does not have a mattress. We do not supply an extra cot mattress due to it not being recommended for safety reasons. Property Owner

  • "The property definitely needs another bathroom."

The cleaning was very poor. Cobwebs in lamp. Quite a number of light bulbs not working. En suite toilet seat very loose. Owner came to fix but that did not last. Dust on rails in wardrobes. Etc. not the usual standard of Sykes rental property.

  • "Amazing cottage!"

Party of 6 (3 couples) - all found the cottage particularly spacious and comfortable during our 7 night stay. Kitchen was a great place to hang out, with both lounges incredibly homely during the evening. Great location for many local walks - we travelled to Edale a few times during the week which is only an hour drive through beautiful terrain with amazing views. Note that our host Cheryl was also super helpful and made our stay stress free with guidance on how to get to the cottage, suggestions on what to do during our stay, and was particularly helpful when providing updates on local lockdown measures for COVID. Our welcome pack on arrival also provided us with all the information we needed such as local restaurants, takeaways, locals walks etc. Overall, our stay could not have been better and would 100% return for a future getaway. Exceeded expectations completely!

The house was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. There's lots to do in the surrounding areas and Cheryl the host was very helpful. We would definitely go back to Cherry Cottage.
