    “Great relaxing break”

    - Mr Leighton, April 2019

The property

Tucked away on Derby Road in the delightful little village of Doveridge, is 5 Bell Cottages, resting peacefully amidst a patchwork of verdant pastures, with elegantly presented rooms to satisfy your taste for quality.

Step into the luxury of the sitting room and feel immediately at home among the plush, soft greys and whites presented in the décor and furnishings.

Just off from here is the kitchen featuring a wonderful ensemble of appliances and furniture, bound together with a light and airy colour scheme and a modern breakfast bar.

The cottage is filled with lovely, thoughtful details bestrew throughout the rooms from pictures on the walls to the welcome pack on arrival; the dining table even accompanies benches of two different heights, so the children can comfortably sit across from you at mealtimes.

Upstairs, the king-size double room is stylishly furnished in keeping in tone with the rest of the accommodation, whilst the en-suite shower adjoining this, boasts a contemporary selection of colours to uplift your mood.

If you are staying in the single room, you can use the pleasantly designed bathroom which boasts a wonderful range of fixtures to assist you through your stay.

Resting under the apex roof on the top floor is the beautiful twin room showcasing a lovely triangular design, the Velux windows are encased either side, streaming in soft lighting from above.

Out to the rear of the property is an extended lawn and a delightful patio with furniture to sit out and enjoy a sunny afternoon drifting by.

Nestled amongst the spectacular countryside, you have excellent walking opportunities right on the doorstep with the beautiful Peak District National Park positioned to the north.

This fabulous cottage has much to offer in this lovely area of Derbyshire.

About the location

DOVERIDGE

Uttoxeter 3 miles; Ashbourne 12 miles.

The pretty little village of Doveridge lies within easy reach of the Peak District National Park. Doveridge, mentioned in the Domesday Book is nestled amongst beautiful countryside, offering great walking and cycling paths and trails. The village has a small shop/Post Office with a coffee shop. St Cuthbert’s Church dates from before the 13th century and boasts a 1000 year old yew tree which is supported on crutches and under which Robin Hood and Maid Marion were rumoured to have wed. Near the church flows the River Dove with its Victorian suspension footbridge. The village is situated just three miles from the bustling Staffordshire town of Uttoxeter with its larger array of amenities and racecourse. The NT Sudbury Hall and the Museum of Childhood is very close by and offers a fascinating insight into days gone by. The market town of Ashbourne is within driving distance with its eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys and quaint coaching inns and is something of a haven for antique hunters, boasting superb shops, as well as a variety of good pubs and restaurants. The Dove and Manifold Valleys are also nearby, and both Carsington Water and Alton Towers are within a 20 minute drive, making this a wonderful location for relaxation and enjoyment all year round.
