“What a superb find, only a few miles out of Buxton, yet still feeling remote and tucked away.”

The property had everything we needed and more. The owner came to see us on our first night to apologise for a minor fault which she already had repairs for in hand - we hadn’t even noticed the fault ! The house was very clean, warm and pleasant - it felt just like a home rather than a rental - even down to fresh flowers on the dining table when we arrived. Our week was in February half term, in the Peak District, so we knew what to expect from the weather, but having the use of the garage as an airing room was superb, no need to bring muddy boots indoors. As others have said already, there is a slope to the drive which can catch on low vehicles but there is plenty of parking on the quiet road in front of the property - we tested our car on the first day but parked on the road afterwards. We had a lovely time and would happily return.
