The view from the private little garden is amazing. An easy walk along a track into the village with two pubs, a cafe and a shop. There is a railway station in the village with trains to Sheffield and Manchester. The cottage is small but very comfortable with good quality furnishings and decoration. Very clean. Friendly and helpful host. Would love to return.

The owner lives on site and was very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. The location is fantastic and it is only a 10 minute walk into the main part of Edale with it's two pubs, small shop and visitors centre. We were able to eat most of the meals we prepared in the cottage in the lovely courtyard garden, overlooking the Great Ridge. Such a great view!! We did all of our walks from the front door and hope to return in the future.

Very clean and despite the Covid-19 restrictions we felt welcomed when we arrived with fresh flowers on the table. Amazing location for walking with a footpath outside and a view of the hills. The walk to the village is along a farm track and footpath, it takes 10 mins and you st the nags head. The cottage was perfect to rest in after a long day of walking.

Close to Castleton where most of our walks started from. No 'phone signal in the cottage which was a bit of an issue but not much anyone can do about that. Highly recommend The George Inn Castleton for good food and service.

It is located in the most idyllic setting, with panoramic views of the Mam Tor skyline from your very own back door! The cottage was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you would ever need from a break away from home. The owners went above and beyond to make it Covid secure meaning we felt very safe throughout our stay. The location is perfect as it combines rural tranquility with a 10 minute stroll to the village of Edale with its 2 fabulous pubs & small shop. Highly recommended & we shall definitely return

Kitchen well equiped, lovely shower. Nice to sit on the private terrace and watch and listen to the sheep and lambs in the fields opposite - very rekaxing. Ideal location for walking up mam tor, kinder scout and to lady bower reservoir and hope. Owners very helpful. Cottage located only 10 minutes walk from edale hamlet where there is two pubs and tea rooms (pennypot was my favourite) and a local shop and edale station. Enjoyed the monthly folk on the train band at the ramblers pub.

Things to note: It's about a ten min walk into the centre of Edale, but make sure you bring a torch as it is pitch black at night! The cottage was just right not too big , not too small, everything worked although it had a funny television set up. The owners of the property were helpful friendly and although very busy due to the lambing time were always willing to talk about sheep. The property was really out in the country side at the end of a single track lane which really needed a few more passing points so timing was important when coming and going. The scenery from the cottage is awe inspiring I have never been so impressed, the weather was good so the Peaks were showing their full glory. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who loves the country side.
