    “A lovely cottage in a lovely village.”

    The only thing missing was a bed side lamp in the double bedroom. Only one provided instead of two. Otherwise very well equipped.

The property

This beautifully furnished Grade II listed stone cottage rests superbly in the heart of Longnor in the Peak District National Park.

Set in the centre of this charming village with a number of walking opportunities on the doorstep and the High Peak Trail, which is part of the National Cycle Network, nearby (secure cycle storage is available at the cottage), The Bakehouse can be used as a relaxing bolthole or a base for a fun-packed outdoor break.

The cottage lies on a side street just off of Longnor's high street, be welcomed in by the rustic wooden latch doors, bringing you into the wonderfully warming sitting room complete with leather sofas, a Smart TV and a woodburning stove to cosy up in front of after a day of exploring the area.

The property fabulously combines contemporary furnishings with the traditional features.

Prepare your meals in the sleek, well-equipped kitchen/diner boasting high-quality appliances including the all-important wine cooler.

The charming Peak District village of Longnor is situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands/Derbyshire border, with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, making an excellent touring centre. The village boasts two pubs, a shop, a Post Office, café tea room, fish and chip shop, and a beautiful church. The historic market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park are all within easy reach.
