  • "Lovely house, very comfortable, and very well situated."

Nice to be able to sit on the sunny patio. A cafetiere, some washing up tablets and some bedside lamps would be wonderful.

  • "No washing machine no dryer for clothes and its a very change able wether for no where to dry your wet clothes just had to leve them in the garage ."

  • "Very comfortable, warm and clean."

Superb location in quiet residential area easy to walk into town and drive further afield. Great instructions for using appliances etc. Minor issues that did not spoil our stay is there was no dishwasher tablets and only a small amount of washing up liquid (which I watered down). No cloth provided for wiping the counter tops so had to use dishcloth. If it could be explained that these are not provided it’s no trouble to take them.

  • "Excellent property in an excellent location."

Good access for walkers at the back of the property to walk to Over Haddon and access Lathkill dale. Very close to town centre with gift shops, pubs, cafes, takeaways and supermarkets. Great location for the park which is literally opposite the road. The garden is spacious and south facing - we were lucky enough to have amazing weather and used it daily. Rooms inside property also spacious with a large living room/diner and roomy kitchen. Great access too to the Monsal Trail. Whether you are there for the walking, cycling or just a break, this is a great property. We would love to return in the future.

  • "Really nice stay at Crossfields bungalow, clean and tidy, bed comfortable, TV adequate all freeview channels, kitchen well equipped for needs, location very good just a few minutes walk through the park into Bakewell town center, no complaints at all and would book again and recommend to friends."

  • "Nice bungalow in a great location with ample parking and comfortable beds / furniture but found the property to be very cold particularly at night when we did not use the living room electric fire ."

The bathroom plumbing left a lot to be desired as the shower and sink struggled to drain water . TV is small with limited channels so subsidised with dvds which we purchased from the charity shops. The front room carpet exuded large amounts of hair (dog ? )when we walked on it which was a bit off putting as they stuck to our clothing.

  • "Another Sykes holiday."

Property had everything provided and clean. The garage ideal for cycles and muddy boots. Ideal base for getting around Peak District.
