  • "We had a fabulous stay the cottage was fantastic."

There was only one thing which is not that important, if there was a mirror just outside the the bathroom to plug in my hair dryer it would be marvellous, this is only my opinion and not a complaint. Thanks for a lovely stay 5 star.

Dear Mrs Rogers Thank you for your feedback. As suggested I will arrange for a mirror to be fitted kind regards Pat Property Owner

  • "Gorgeous cottage in a lovely village with excellent facilities."

The Pack Horse and Colloseo are both in walk in distance and had awesome food and service. The location is excellent for exploring the Peak District.

Dear Mrs Thomas Could you advise if there are any actions I could take to make my guests stay more comfortable? I'm limited in what I can do as the cottage is in a conservation area but I am so pleased you like the cottage and the village kind regards Pat Property Owner

  • "Fantastic cottage, very well equipped kitchen."

Lounge cosy. Beds comfortable and very clean. Had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your feedback, I hadn't realised I could respond unless it was to a request. I hope you do plan to stay again, the Peaks have so much to offer and I still find new things to enjoy even thought I have owned the cottage for over 25 years kind regards Pat Property Owner

  • "With 2 dogs I immediately felt at home in the cottage - homely, practical, welcoming, dog friendly home with no ornaments for feisty wagging tails!"

Lovely bed, crisp white sheets, large bathroom, useful downstairs loo and enclosed patio. Perfect location for long walks, lots of nearby eateries and local convenience store. (Narrow tread on upstairs staircase). Wishing the owner all the best and thank you. Look forward to a return visit.

About the location

The delightful High Peak village of Hayfield is situated in a wonderful rural setting on the north western edge of the Peak National Park. It’s a peaceful little village, popular with walkers who are attracted by its close proximity to Kinder Scout. Serious walkers head east out of the village, up and over the green foothills to the russet expanse of the Kinder Plateau, Pennine Way and Snake Path, whilst families (and those who enjoy more gentle rambles) head west along the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills. Edale – an alternative start of the Pennine Way - is only a few miles away. The village caters well for tourists with pubs, cafes and restaurants. Other local attractions include the Goyt Valley, Castleton – with its famous caverns - and the popular spa town of Buxton.
