The property

Set on a peaceful private estate, within reaching distance of the town of Darley Dale, you will find The Birdy Perch.

Surrounded by glorious green landscapes with fantastic woodland walks right on its doorstep, this idyllic detached cottage is the perfect choice for a romantic retreat for two.

As you step inside this quaint and homely dwelling, be greeted by a pretty compact kitchen with gorgeous pastel hues and characterful farmhouse furnishings, a wonderful space to cook up a feast, before taking your seats at the breakfast bar and delighting in a delicious bottle of bubbly.

From here an attractive bedroom with king-size bed awaits you, adorned with high vaulted oak ceilings and beautiful floral patterns whilst boasting a plush fabric sofa and traditional electric stove, where you can spend many evenings cosied up to your significant other as you watch your favourite shows or a captivating movie on the Smart TV.

Make the most of warmer weather with breakfast alfresco out in the garden, or grab your waterproofs and pull on your walking boots as you kick-start the day with a thrilling hike through the peaks to Nine Ladies Stone Circle.

Uncover Stanton Moor and Cork Stone, or see the six stones of Doll Tor, before a walk to Cratcliffe.

Spot the Earl Grey Tower as you wander Ladygrove, or travel to the edge of Bakewell for a fun-filled afternoon at the imposing stately home of Chatsworth House.

Cross the historic Bakewell Bridge to the centre of the town and indulge in a tasty treat in one of the many idyllic tearooms, before a stroll along the River Wye.

Take a scenic ride on the Heights of Abraham cable cars, or head underground to The Great Masson Cavern.

Learn of the towns history at Peak District Mining Museum, or tour the Victorian museum and aquarium of Matlock Bath Aquarium and arcade.

Avid walkers should be sure to hike to the peak of Chrome Hill, where you will be rewarded with spectacular views across the luscious terrains.

The owner host The Exile Festival on their land between the 25th and 27th June each year, the owner has agreed guests will have free access to the festival during their stay.

A picturesque town situated just outside of the stunning Peak District National Park, Darley Dale won the 2003 'Britain in Bloom' award in the Large Village category. It is surrounded by natural beauty, the town is also rich in history and culture with the Arts Festival and the Festival of Transport to discover. The Darwin Forest Country Park comes nearby should you want to take your dog for a walk or enjoy a picnic. Head into the wonderful Peak District National Park for incredible scenery or the charming market towns, Bakewell comes just 5 miles away and is a great day out with its fine selection of amenities. The spa town of Matlock is also worth a visit with the historic Matlock Bath offering much for tourists including Gulliver's Kingdom for those of you young at heart. There are also a number of bustling cities nearby which are worth a look, Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby are all within easy reach.
