About the property

Back in 1899 this detached house was built for the Derby Infirmary.

The convalescent once housing patients, now offers beautiful accommodation for up to 28 guests, with three acres of grounds, and an interior comprising everything you could dream of, near the village of Belper.

Equally perfect for families or friends, this cottage is approached by two gated driveways, with its unique clock tower, and one of a kind exterior which truly gives you a taste of the cottage charm before entering.

At the entrance, be welcomed by the large reception hall and its mosaic floor, two grand staircases, and a magnificent dining room.

Three bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, suited for those less mobile guests, whilst ten are located on the first floor, providing more than enough choice come night time.

You will be kept busy during the day too, with a fully equipped gym available, and a large games room providing a snooker table, table football, and darts board for a competitive hour or two.

Alternatively, settle down in one of the two sitting rooms with the welcome pack on hand, for a relaxing afternoon.

There are three acres of enclosed lawned and enticing landscaped gardens, with several patio areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

There is a covered bandstand, and a clock in the tower, which is a working historic smiths mechanical time piece.

The nearby Peak District National Park is home to some of the finest country estates and homes, including the likes of Chatsworth, Haddon, Keddleston Hall, Matlock and Matlock Bath all within easy reach.

If you’re looking for adventure then look no further than Alton Towers, or take in the delights of the local market towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne with much to explore.

Set in the grounds of the owner’s home, this extensive property is perfect for any occasion.
