The property

Featuring spectacular views, ground-floor living and sleeping up to four guests, Oak Lea is a fabulous setting for your next Derbyshire adventure, within easy reach of the Peak District National Park.

Upon arrival you will discover off-road parking on the drive for up to 4 cars, before pausing in the large enclosed garden surrounding the property and admiring the panoramic views of the countryside.

Enter the side door of the property straight into the characterful kitchen/diner, containing all your necessities to create your home-cooked favourites and enjoy them at the large dining area that seats up to eight.

Continue through the property and down the magnificent hallway with large windows boasting views of the distant Peaks, before entering the spacious sitting room; with plenty of seating & a large window with bay-seating, an ideal spot to read a book!

There is a Smart TV, games and a woodburning stove - perfect for a restful evening together.

Make your way across the hallway to the king-size room containing a zip/link bed, for flexible sleeping arrangements, and an en-suite basin and WC; the second bedroom is situated close-by with a king-size bed & storage.

About the location


Chesterfield 6 miles; Sheffield 7 miles.

Dronfield is a Derbyshire market town with a history dating back to before the 1086 Domesday Book, and has a number of 12th century buildings which are still in existence. The town has a wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and also a modern sports centre, and is surrounded by wonderful Peak District countryside where the walks are asking to be explored. Dronfield is situated between the Peak District National Park and the city of Sheffield while close by is the historic town of Chesterfield which is most notable for its famous crooked spire of St Mary and All Saints Church. The impressive Damflask, Agden, Dale Dike and Ladybower dams make for an interesting afternoon's ramble, while the attractive village of Hathersage (thought to be the inspiration for Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre) is also within easy reach and is home to a selection of shops, pubs and inviting eateries, plus an outdoor lido. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, whilst the historic and ever popular town of Bakewell and the rest of the Peak District, are within a short drive.
