The Hope Valley is a great base for a holiday and the cottage is great. Conveniently located near to two nice pubs, a cafe and a couple of shops. Castleton is really close and an awesome village and base for lovely, easy walks and trips to caverns.

The property

A lovely 16th century stone, terraced property which was originally part of four former blacksmith’s cottages.

This delightful cottage is in an extremely convenient holiday destination in the centre of the village of Hope, in the Peak District National Park.

The cottage has three en-suite bedrooms, making it the ideal stay for a family or group of adults or three couples.

In the main cottage there is a modern well-equipped kitchen with dining area and a door out to a small patio and parking space.

The cosy sitting room is decorated in a traditional style with exposed stone and beamed ceiling.

The bedrooms are tastefully appointed with quality furniture.

The third bedroom is located on the ground floor in the adjacent cottage with a tasteful en-suite wet room.

This room is ideal if you occasionally like to escape the gang for a bit of me time and, as it is all on the one level, it is suitable for people with limited mobility.

Outside this lovely cottage there is a private patio, where you can sit and enjoy a refreshing drink whilst planning the next day’s activities.

This attractive cottage is a fantastic base for exploring the Hope Valley, with footpaths right outside the door to the breathtaking mountain scenery.

A short drive from this delightful cottage you will find Peveril Castle and the caverns of Castleton, and you would struggle to find a more convenient location when it comes to local amenities.

Hope railway station is located half a mile away and a bus service runs through the village making this an ideal stay for those without transport.

You could be stood in one of two coffee shops, a farm shop & deli, an Indian restaurant, two pubs or a church, faster than it takes to read this description!
