• "A fabulous week away in this beautiful cottage."

  Everything you could possibly need was provided. Super comfy beds, plenty of towels, smart TVs in each of the rooms and great showers. We stay in a number of properties each year and this one will certainly be hard to beat! Lots to do in the local area too.

• "Delightful property."

  Due to circumstances we spent a lot time in the cottage during our two week February stay. We couldn't have been in a better place . Immaculately clean,warm,and comfortable. So well equipped and tastefully furnished. Luxury beds, piping hot showers, fast Wi-Fi with smart tv's in every room. All this plus the peace and quiet of the rural location. Julie and Jason are the friendliest hosts and greeted us with a lovely bottle of fizz and handmade local biscuits. If you find a vacancy, don't hesitate to book. Like us,you'll want to return.

• "A fantastic tranquil, well equipped cottage."

  Beautiful countryside yet close to major attractions like Alton Towers and Peak Wildlife Park. Everything you could need was provided and lots of hot water for a family's worth of showers. Alpacas and Blacknosed Sheep were an added bonus. Would definately recommend a holiday at The Stables.

• "The Stables is very tastefully decorated & well maintained in a peaceful setting."

  The bed was comfy as was the sofa. The bathrooms are contemporary with good storage space. We had a warm welcome from Julie & Jason kindly helped us with the heating controls. The parking area is very good. The Stables is an excellent place to stay. Do take your own tea, coffee & milk as it is not provided, to have with the delicious biscuits the owners provide. In the evening you can enjoy the prosecco! Thank you.

• "The Stables is a beautiful cottage , spacious, modern and spotless."

  We had a family wedding in the area so booked The Stables as a base, definitely wished we had stayed longer. It’s in the most beautiful surroundings and it felt so relaxing. The heated pod in the garden was just perfect to watch the sunrise through the trees with a nice cuppa, used it in the evenings to enjoy the peace and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds were very comfortable. Julie and Jason are lovely hosts and nothing was to much trouble. Thank you for providing such a relaxing time. Would whole heartedly recommend.

• "We found this cottage, clean, cosy and supplied everything we needed."

  The decor was beautiful and the location idyllic. There were plenty of places to take the children out for the afternoon close by and it was great to have a smart TV in the rooms. I would highly recommend to anyone .

• "We had a lovely week at The Stables in the Easter Holidays."

  We stayed with 2 babies and the two downstairs bedrooms was ideal! There was nothing else we needed for a very comfortable week. Well equipped kitchen comfortable sitting area. The beds were comfortable and plenty of space to put things away. The bathroom was downstairs.there was a powerful shower upstairs which was a real treat. Situated just off a main route but you would not know. The alpacas sheep and horses nearby kept our 6 year old more than occupied. Several places of interest. Alton towers and the Peak Wildlife park only a few miles away. Bakewell and Buxton not so far either. We cannot thank our hosts enough for making our week so enjoyable. The free hen eggs were delicious. A stay here is highly recommended!

• "Lovely, well kept cottage that was both modern and spotless."

  We liked the no shoe policy but the stones from the garden always found their way inside! Lovely heated pod in garden and small play house for kids. Great base for Alton Towers. Would recommend to others and look to stay if in the area again.

• "Wow what can I say, the stables is truly stunning…."

  . from start to finish our cottage break was fantastic. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and is finished to a very high standard. Julie and Jason are great hosts and nothing was to much trouble. We book with Sykes 4/5 times a year and this has to be my favourite by a long mile. Stunning views and walks all topped off by the amazing animals on the farm. We will definitely be returning. Don’t hesitate to book this wonderful cottage you won’t be disappointed. • "We booked a quiet week away for my Mum's 70th Birthday celebrations."

  What a perfect find! The cottage was beautifully presented, warm and welcoming. The hosts were very helpful prior to and on arrival and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of bubbly, orange juice and a box of delicious biscuits.   Lots of original beams to show the history of the building but really well modernised with excellent showers and all of the equipment needed to cook on a self catering holiday. We had a lovely stay and would definitely choose to stay here again if holidaying in this area.

• "A lovely cottage in a wonderful farmland setting."

  Very quiet at all times yet close enough to the Peak District and Alton Towers. The owners were very nice and welcoming. The cottage was immaculate with three good bedrooms, all double plus two bath/shower rooms. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything looked new throughout. Excellent.

• "Wow! Best cottage we have stayed at and have visited quite a few."

  The Stables was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a short break and more. Yummy treats and a bottle of Fizz greeted us upon arrival and the location is beautiful. Spent evenings playing cards and games which were provided in the lovely garden overlooking the sheep and alpacas, the garden has a heated seating pod, blankets/cushions so would be perfect anytime. Really couldn't fault it, can't wait to return!
