“What a lovely little place this is to stay.”

It's sooo nice to stay somewhere that's clean and comfortable, If I tried really hard to find a fault it would be a lack of Wi-Fi or phone network, but don't let this put you off because it was an excuse to walk the dogs and few hundred yards down the road I got a signal, I actually found after a day how nice it was not to have a constant ringing phone. This place is a real gem and glad to have found it

The property

A lovely little detached, stone-built cottage in the countryside village of Grindon, on the edge of the Peak District and near to the owners' home.

This Grindon cottage is a delight, with cosy open plan living, exposed beams and a welcoming feel.

There is a garden with patio and furniture outside this Grindon cottage, making it a wonderful retreat for those warm summer evenings.

With countryside views from inside and out, this Grindon cottage is the perfect place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

From the doorstep of this pretty Grindon cottage is the wonderful Manifold Valley, while Dove Dale and the market towns of Ashbourne, Leek and Buxton are all accessible.

Less than two miles away is the village of Butterton, with amenities including a pub and a butcher.

An ideal Grindon cottage for touring and exploring the Peak District National Park.

About the location

GRINDON

Ashbourne 10 miles; Leek 7 miles.

The delightful rural village of Grindon is situated on the side of the beautiful Manifold Valley, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Like its well-known neighbour the Dove, the Manifold cuts a course through superb scenery and is a delight for both walkers and cyclists, with the "Manifold Trail" following the route of the old Leek to Manifold Light Railway. Grindon itself is a pretty stone-built village, and close by is Butterton with a butcher's and a pub, whilst further afield is the market town of Ashbourne. The surrounding area has many pubs offering a good range of food and Alton Towers is just a 30 minute drive away.
