Cottage is furnished to high standard throughout, kitchen is well equipped, we cooked all our meals there. Lovely double shower. ...

Cottage is furnished to high standard throughout, kitchen is well equipped, we cooked all our meals there. Lovely double shower. Owners very welcoming and allowed us to charge our hybrid vehicle via outdoor 3 pin plug. The farms chickens can supply your breakfast eggs. Many beautiful places to visit quite close by. We had a very relaxing holiday and will recommend to friends.

Holmes Farm

Holmes Farm offers three wonderfully presented barn conversions, nestled in the hamlet of Reapsmoor, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Enveloped by velvet pastures and rolling green hills, they each boast an attractive stone exterior, with modern fittings inside. With a traditional pub close by, accommodating walkers with open fires and refreshing drinks, this accommodation is ideal for families, couples and large groups celebrating a special occasion. They are approached via a private road, leading down a single-track driveway. Two are open-plan in design, the living rooms create a lovely sociable space, with character oozing from the walls and floors, perfect for a family feast. The bedrooms are immaculate and served by glossy bath and shower facilities. Outside, there is ample off-road parking in the large driveway and shared access to the garden and grounds at the farm. This group of properties is extremely well placed for exploring the delights of the Peak District. Flower-rich grasslands, together with wild meadows and ancient woodland, enjoy abundant walking and cycling trails for you to discover. There are family-friendly activities for all, including caving, rock climbing, horse riding and a plethora of watersports. This honeypot location offers walks from the doorstep and access to the lovely towns of Bakewell, Castleton and Buxton. The nearby village of Longnor boasts a few local amenities for convenience, including two pubs, a shop and Post Office. And, for attractions, you have Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Go Ape and Alton Towers Theme Park. A wonderful base to spend some quality time with your loved ones.

The charming Peak District village of Longnor is situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands/Derbyshire border, with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, making an excellent touring centre. The village boasts two pubs, a shop, a Post Office, café tea room, fish and chip shop, and a beautiful church. The historic market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park are all within easy reach.
