The property

This immaculate mid-terrace cottage, built in 1837 is situated on the outskirts of the traditional village of Longnor in the Peak District National Park.

Beautifully appointed throughout and providing cosy and contemporary accommodation, this cottage is the perfect spot for small families or couples looking for a picturesque Peak District escape.

With countryside views from the front, you will find two delightful bedrooms, a modern kitchen and a cosy sitting room with woodburning stove, which is great to light after a day of walking throughout the nearby pretty countryside.

Outside is a lovely rear courtyard, and the quaint, cobbled village of Longnor provides an array of shops and traditional pubs.

Nearby, the Manifold Valley and Tissington Trail offer great walking and cycling opportunities, and within three miles is Alderly Cliff, Ramshaw Rocks and the Roaches for rock climbing enthusiasts.

Also celebrated annually in Derbyshire are the Chatsworth Horse Trails, Wells Dressing, the Buxton Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Festival and the Leek Bluegrass festival.

With the spa town of Buxton and its festivals during the summer, the lovely market town of Bakewell and thrilling Alton Towers Theme Park within easy reach, there are plenty of varied activities and events on offer from this superb cottage.

The charming Peak District village of Longnor is situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands/Derbyshire border, with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, making an excellent touring centre. The village boasts two pubs, a shop, a Post Office, café tea room, fish and chip shop, great craft centre and a beautiful church. The historic market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park are all within easy reach.
