  • "We had a fantastic short break."

    The apartment is lovely, very spacious, clean and in a great position. We stayed with our children (4 and 15) and they both really enjoyed it too. The owner is very friendly and easy to contact if you have any issues or need any advice. We didn’t have any issues with parking and just purchased one of the rover passes. There are plenty of lovely pubs and restaurants close by and lots of quirky shops to enjoy. Matlock Bath is easily accessible either on foot or one stop on the train. We had a great day out at The Heights of Abraham. Thanks for a great stay and we would highly recommend this apartment.

  • "The property was perfect for our short stay."

    It's in the middle of Matlock, close to shops, nice cafe downstairs. Parking was easy to book and really close by. We have a small child and the place was nice and safe, our child loved the open plan front room, dining room and kitchen. The owner showed a lot of care, being in touch really quickly when we had questions. If we need to stay in Matlock again, we'd go hear.

    . he was extremely helpful with anything that we needed and let us check out abit later which saved the rushing around. The property was clean, tidy and very comfortable, it had everything that we needed and would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

  • "Had such a lovely weekend in Matlock."

    Darren the owner was really helpful and very easy to get hold of. We visited about 4 other places on our stay including Speedwell cavern and Castleton ( the Devils arse), Bakewell, Chatsworth House, all within 45 min drives. The apartment was so lovely, parking is pretty easy. Abit hard to get a space on a Saturday though, but the carpark is literally a 30 second walk to the apartment! Overall had a great stay :)

  • "This lovely flat is situated ideally in the centre of Matlock, next to shops, restaurants, bars (one opposite - very lively), railway station and the park."

    It is in beautiful condition, warm, well decorated with a great cosy feel even though the living/eating/kitchen area is large. A big bathroom with a great shower. I would have no hesitation in booking this property again, in fact I could have stayed forever.

MATLOCK

Matlock Bath 1 mile; Bakewell 8 miles.

The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, has been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich. To the north are the market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Park - not to be missed!
