Close to Ashbourne and plenty of dog friendly pubs. Spotlessly clean. Lovely welcome pack for ourselves and our dog.

Beautiful surroundings and views from the windows. Met the owner who was very pleasant and helpful. They made a lovely kind gesture of a welcome pack for both us and our little dog. Would highly recommend the cottage to any couple wanting a quiet comfortable break in a beautiful area.

Really lovely place with nice scenery, even though the weather wasn't great it was still beautiful. Close by shops and pubs and takeaways made for a lovely relaxing stay.

Dog friendly pub only 10 minutes away. Garden area quite small, didn't feel big enough for the dog.

This listing did not say that the garden was shared with no 2 also on your books - if it had I would not have booked - fortunately there were no dogs staying at no 2 so was not an issue but would not have been happy to have them in the garden with access to our open French doors and outside seating - you need to ensure this is made clear in your listing The owners maybe should consider sectioning off the garden for no 3 to make it a safer place to let dog loose and to give some additional privacy That being said this was one of the cleanest and most well equipped cottages we have ever stayed in and the location was excellent with stunning scenery and lots of easily accessible walks for us and our dog

  • "We thought that the only downside to this cottage was that as it was dog friendly there was not a secure garden area for the dog."

  • "The cottage was brilliant and so comfy."

Everything was so clean. BT internet stopped working on the first night so no TV. The owner went out the next day and got a freeview box and fitted it so that by the time we came in later the TV was working. He was so helpful. They supplied tea, coffee, sugar and all the kitchen necessities needed. We would definitely recommend this cottage and would love to go back ourselves. Can't recommend it enough.

  • "A most comfortable, cosy cottage, a home from home, and with magnificent views over the Derbyshire dales."

Excellently situated for touring. We had a lovely week, in spite of the wet weather which affected most of England at the time. Much to see and do indoors around this area. Our cottage was a great place to come home to, had everything there. Special thanks to Neal for helping us when our car battery was flat. We very much hope to come again and would definitely recommend this cottage to others.

  • "This is a fabulous property - renovated to a high standard and tasteful."

Well positioned having the option to sit out on patio admiring the view of weather permits. Pub close-by with good food and choice of gin! Uphill walk back but ok for this in good health. Welcome pack lovely touch and was not expecting a dog crate and bowls to be provided so did take our own. Hope all future visitors respect it and look after it as if their own home. Would defiantly stay again

  • "Well. I was ill and tried to cancel the trip and your insurance terms and cancellation process was a nightmare."

Yet it all worked for our good because I would have missed out on such a great place to stay. There is one thing I didn't quite like and that was that the gardening was done on the Saturday morning whilst still in bed. Overall a great time was had.
