This delightful Victorian end-terrace cottage is situated on the outskirts of Meltham near Holmfirth.
This cottage is full of character and has original beams and feature windows.
You enter the property into the comfortable sitting room which has a beamed ceiling and a warming woodburning stove, the perfect room to relax in after a day of exploring.
There is a choice of dining areas in this property with a drop leaf table available in the sitting area, or if you prefer a more informal setting there is a table in the kitchen area.
The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals or picnics for the day ahead.
Upstairs there are two pleasant bedrooms both with character windows.
The master has a king-size double and the other bedroom has triple bunks with a double on the bottom and a single on the top.
The bathroom has been lovingly renovated with a roll-top bath and separate shower, so whether you require along soak after a day out or an invigorating shower you’ll be well-catered for.
Outside the spacious enclosed garden has a wooded feel to it with two small lawned areas, patios and abundant birdlife.
There is also a secure log cabin which can be used for bike storage.
The small town of Meltham offers a good range of facilities with shops and pubs and a golf course for those who wish to practise their swing.
Within 100yards of the cottage is the very quiet Robert Ashton Memorial Park with pleasant woodland walks, public tennis courts and children’s play areas.
Just beyond the garden a protected ‘green corridor’ provides easy walking access to the edge of the Peak District National Park 600m away.
There are plenty of opportunities to discover pretty villages, and enjoy wonderful walks and cycling a short distance from the property.
The ever popular village of Holmfirth, famous for being the setting for the Last of the Summer Wine is a short drive away with a great range of traditional and new pubs, as well as many varied eating establishments.
For those looking for a bit of retail therapy there are several large cities within easy reach including Huddersfield, Sheffield and Leeds.

Meltham is a small town situated below Wessenden Moor on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The village offers a good range of facilities with local shops and pubs and the local golf course which is over a 100 years old has wonderful views of the Pennine Hills. The valley has been inhabited since pre-historic times, with two Iron Age sites overlooking the town. Situated four and half miles from the city of Huddersfield, Meltham also has good links to several major cities including Sheffield and Leeds which make for an enjoyable day out. Just three miles away is the town of Holmfirth, famed as being the setting for the comedy series Last of the Summer Wine. Holmfirth has interesting winding streets to explore and has numerous festivals throughout the year which include exhibitions in the fields of music and the arts. Holmfirth also has a good public swimming pool and fitness centre, parks, shops and restaurants. Meltham is a great base for exploring this varied area.
