"We have stayed in a lot of cottages around the uk and this was one of the best, as we do kayaking it was perfect for us being close to Rudyard lake and Tittesworth lake."

"This is a well equipped and appointed cottage."
The proprietors are friendly and kind. We had no issues whilst staying here but I’m confident they would have sorted anything out swiftly had there been anything needing attention. Good base for a family wanting to explore the region.

As always a lovely warm welcome from the owners. The cottage was warm and cosy despite the very cold weather. A great location for exploring the area.

"We always love staying at the Coachman's Cottage."
It is very clean, on site parking, towels provided and Lorna always leaves a little arrival present! The kids absolutely love the attic room and it's so close to Alton Towers. Thank you again for a lovely stay - see you next time!

The owners were very friendly and helpful. Cottage is comfortable but there are several flights of stairs that the less able might find difficult. Would book again.

"Coachmans Cottage is a lovely house in a convenient location for visiting not only the Peak District but Staffordshire and surrounding places."
The house was well equipped for everything we needed to spend Christmas there. We stayed with our three children and the house was fine for our three year old (Lorna put the stair gate on for us on the attic room) and there were no worrying hazards anywhere. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items & utensils and the milk and biscuits on arrival was very welcome! The Christmas tree and decorations was a lovely festive touch and made it feel like a home-from-home. Bedrooms were all comfy with ample bedding and pillows. All rooms nicely finished and suit the house. No wifi and mobile signal was poor but we were able to access the wifi in the Sewing Academy next door to make wifi calls on Christmas Day. We would certainly recommend the house and hope to visit again ourselves one day.

"The cottage host was wonderful and the property was excellent."
Despite being adjacent to a main road we never heard traffic, the beds were comfy, the lounge and kitchen were well equipped and the location was ideal for exploring the southern areas of the Peak District. The only slight problem was the lack of Wi-Fi and mobile signal, which meant searching for locations and obtaining addresses and maps was difficult - fortunately we'd done most of our planning in advance! We'd definitely stay again.
