The Chains

These wonderful barn conversions are situated on the main road running through Munslow, a small village near Craven Arms and Church Stretton, on the edge of the Shropshire Hills AONB. The barns are part of The Chains, which featured in the much-loved Lilliput Lane collection, and are a beautiful terrace of properties with exposed beams and heaps of character within their stone walls. Perfect for large groups of friends or family exploring this delightful area, each property has its own woodburner and a master bedroom with a roll-top bath and en-suite shower. The kitchens are well-equipped with electric ovens and a washing machine, so you don’t need to worry about over-packing or getting a bit muddy when you’re out exploring. Outside are lovely, private patios where you can enjoy the sunshine with a spot of alfresco dining. The village of Munslow is quiet and pretty, with a good country pub just round the corner from The Chains; you can enjoy an evening drink with the locals or dinner if you don’t fancy cooking, yourselves. There are plenty of walking opportunities and picnic spots in the surrounding Shropshire Hills, and you can get your adrenaline fix at the Shropshire Hills Mountain Bike and Outdoor Pursuits Centre, just 20 minutes away. Why not explore Ludlow Castle, or the town’s Murder Mystery Treasure Trail? Eight miles away, Church Stretton has a great selection of independent shops, pubs and cafes, whilst other popular destinations, such as The Stiperstones and UNESCO World Heritage Centre at Ironbridge Gorge, are a must-see during your time here. With so much to see and do, and such delightful accommodation, The Chains are an excellent holiday home for exploring this glorious part of the country!
